"Played" for 1 hour
actual gametime was probably half that, the rest was cutscenes.
I'm a dragon who just chose my first weapon.

Templar on Fenris. Starting now. Post spam with stories incoming if it is bad. Not posting and playing if it is good. Also not posting if it is totally shit as I cba in that case. :P
I don't sports.
I don't play, watch, care about or understand sports. At all. I do not sports.
Played it for 2-3 hours.
Very different from other MMO's, will take a while to get used to this skill system. Quite refreshing.
It's not Game of the year material, IMO it beats most new MMO's released.
Game does a terrible job of teaching mechanics/skill system/quest line
Combat feels unrewarding, theres no sense of force like in GW2 or other modern MMO's
Environment is pretty cool, lore is really interesting (for an MMO)
Sound is meh, some dialogue is okay, some is terrible, the Stationmaster made me laugh the first time I met him
Graphics are kinda shitty looking, it basically looks like L4D the game. Or maybe I've just been spoilt by TERA.
All in all, 6/10, would not preorder, might buy if I have spare cash and a week of nothing to do.
What Xeno said really.
Did not get to do any group stuff yet so canīt rate the dungeons.
Skill system looks really good and like a load of fun. Crafting looks nice on paper but again canīt say much as I donīt have enough mats to try it out properly.
Will play this beta-event, perhaps trying to get another key next time but far from buying at this point.

Wish I had more time to play it. It was surprisingly good.
Game is surprisingly good once you get past the glitchiness with graphics.
Skill system is nice and rewarding, with fucktons of choice, and the quests are fun and varied. Plus it has arguably the best setting ever.
I would buy it, but i dont have a lot of money atm and funcom can go fuck itself, will see how it works out after release and maybe get it then.
I had a gripe with the skills system: To specialise in only one aspect, you need to fully upgrade both skill blocks fully. (IE need to max out the damage and support blocks before specialisation unlocks)
Ah yes that's true, quite annoying.
I loved how with some simple skill points in a few trees i could boost my pistols a lot though, even without equipping specific other weapons. Really makes you think about it.
One thing i have to say, you really have to give the game a few hours to start "working"... i thought it was horrible at first, but then when i unlocked more skills, got some stuff, made a semblance of a build and got through some more stories i realized it's actually pretty damn enjoyable.

Not having quest hubs makes it feel really fresh. I love following quest lines around then picking up another one at the end, it's a really good change.
Yeah, that took a while to get used to but once I did, I could see the reasons why they did it that way. Can you believe some people actually want them to change it?

That link doesn't have anything to do with quest hubs.
I agree with the general sentiment of the OP though. I like running in a world and seeing a shiny then getting distracted by it, but in TSW you don't have the freedom to chase all the shinies and must drop an old one.
according to http://www.thesecretworld.com/news/b..._battle_begins if you register on the site before friday you get a key anyway
I like the setting and story lines but the mechanics could be improved a bit, will play it for a month while waiting for GW2/PS2.
I used to have a sig.
