    Satellite Reign

Just got the early access for this, and it's very cool so far.
Think Sundicate Wars basically (indeed same creator), but with one big living city.

    Website is here: http://satellitereign.com/the-game/

The world design and visuals especially are superb, and it's really scratching my cyberpunk craving.

your lets play link is the same as the game website.

other than that, looks pretty cool.
Totally not Victoria Stecker forgetting his password and not having access to his work email.

I was somewhere around Old Man Star, on the edge of Essence, when drugs began to take hold.

Early Access ... take your guess.

IMHO needs a lot of work but you can see where they are headed.

no. it is very promising but it doesn't yet deliver.
Best thing to do with it right now is leave it running as a kind of ambient cyberpunk screensaver, which is actually good enough I'm happy already.

I figured this was worth a punt now. I hear there are still quite a lot of bugs but that's what I expect out of an early access game. Not like published AAA games are perfect on launch day anyway.

Now to actually play it (:

Had this for a while, it's interesting, and quite enjoyable.

You have to manage your team of cyborgs quite a bit more subtly than you might be used to, if you've played Syndicate or Syndicate Wars. Can't just burst in somewhere guns blazing most of the time. It's easy to become overwhelmed if you screw it up. You have a bunch of different skills available to your agents, and you have to learn to make use of them.

Agents gain experience that you can invest in different skills, a different skillset being available to each of your four agents:
Soldier: combat skills, more health, more damage, can draw fire from teammates, can boost teammates damage
Support: a variety of team skills, healing, slow time, target painting,
Hacker: cyber skills, hijack enemy units to control them, scramble enemy units to cause them to fight amongst themselves, subvert computer systems,
Infiltrator: stealth skills, silent killing, sniper rifle, cloak,

    That sort of thing.

Your missions are to break into various facilities in the City, and steal information, money, prototype weapons, blueprints, and a couple escort missions. Some missions require a specific agent to break into the facility, other times any agent will do, but there's a bonus if a particular agent breaks in.

There's a big variety of weapons available, most coming in 3 kinds: kinetic, plasma, laser, with different effectiveness against shields/armour/flesh.

Also a variety of equipment, ziplines, drones with laser pistols, grenades, medi-packs, armour, shields, and so on.

And a load of different cybernetic devices, all with different capabilities. Arms that provide more armour/health, arms that enhance weaponry, brain implants that allow more drones to be controlled, brain implants that harden against cyberwarfare attacks, body implants that explode if the agent is killed, body implants for a larger energy generator, leg implants for more speed, leg implants that let you jump high enough to use vents to access areas.

The weapons/equipment/cybermodifications that you get, are somewhat random, which means that every playthrough will be somewhat different. Though I think the developers are going to include a blackmarket that might allow you to obtain other prototypes and blueprints, if you're looking for a specific one that you didn't get from the missions.

Still under development of course, but I think it is enjoyable enough.

Finally beaten down a mission that was irritating me for ages.
Assault rifles and Health packs with a healthy dose of katana action are damned effective.
On one hand i can't wait to get further in to unpack bigger toys, on the other i can't bear it.
This game even on medium totally cooks my room ....

bestil my sweaty ballsack. um ....

At least they seem to have fixed the enemy/door sticking along with some of the awful pedestrian/car pathing

I hope they fix the controls along with the bugs. It definitely has potential if they can iron out the wrinkles.

    So is it any good?

    "Kerning is serious business"
And having an image that does not cause Autism attacks even more so.
