Balloon mission to Venus would not even be that hard (naively).

Just bring a small sat into orbit, and let it inflate.
The tiny atmospheric drag will gradually slow it down and let it sink slowly to an altitude where it naturally "swims".

I found the picture by googling "Crimson Skies Airship".

Room-Temperature Superconductivity Achieved for the First Time
Physicists have reached a long-sought goal. The catch is that their room-temperature superconductor requires crushing pressures to keep from falling apart.

So we have this at least in this shitty year.

Paper says phase transition at 267 GPa. Strained growth of very thin films can have built-in stresses (in-plane) of several gigapascal. Unfortunately, the abstract mentions "Van der Waals solids", i.e. weakly-bound layered compounds. Makes sense, since they essentially "squeeze" the electron density of states with the pressure (at a rough guess), but means it cant be grown as superconductive.

Cool to hear, and worth reading into, but thats it.

Captain Scarlet was literally racist. 'Colonel White' was the boss, everyone was a Captain apart from the only POC Lieutenant Green.
