Nothing personal against Chribba, but the whole cult of personality around him is annoying and not particularly funny.

Saw on eve-o that there is a new log-in banner listing helpful corps for new players. One corp listed is Goonswarm. Is that true? lol
Goonswarm is helpful for new players, IF a) you're an SA member and b) they're on a recruitment drive.
A good, reasoned eve-o post?

Sounds like a lot of butthurt tbh. More fitting room and stats instead of more base HP would be nice but risks missig the point of increasing survivability for barges if people can use the fitting to cram in more MLU's. Rest is just whining about instapoping hulks not breaking even.
D&D is where I learned that a longsword is a one handed slashing weapon.
Seems fair to me that if tanked options are available on current setups, that you're just a moron for not taking the chance to do so if you want to be more resiliant.

Use the black monocle considered a possible exploit. lol

The post below involving the quote
Made me lol. Are you #$&%ing kidding me? The players virtually revolt (literally) in part because of the attention being paid to pointless space dolls and now somebody is lamenting it as a forgotten feature? : people:it's high time that players started paying more attention[ to avatars

I tried to be cool and all I got was a lousy warning about my sig being too big.
There's no reason at all to pay any attention to avatars or the customisation thereof. I really don't know why CCP (apparently) abandoned WiS since it was the only way to make people actually yearn for these items that they see others wearing.
As loathe as I am to admit it Valve got the whole "hats" thing in Team Fortress 2 right. They create a shop, people buy stuff, other people see that stuff being worn (and can't avoid it) and thus a class system of haves and have-nots emerges. Valve sits back and watches as the money rolls in from people spending $100 on virtual wedding rings and $160 on an item that references a completely different game.
You can debate the ludicrousness of this all you like (it is insane), but that's how you sell virtual items properly. Right now there is no incentive whatsoever to buy anything because the only time you are forced to look at anyones portrait is in the local window (and even that can be condensed), and it comes up at a tiny resolution. Want to show off your new virtual Guristas belt? Well no one is ever going to see it unless they go out of their way to "View Body" on you.
WiS would've solved that. Instead CCP jumped straight to the end and released a boutique shop in a world inhabited by blind people. Had they had WiS out already - and something meaningful that added to the game and made people want to use it, like bowling alleys, poker tables, other non-space stuff - they wouldn't have even needed that $20m venture capital for DUST.
edit: Also stations in lowsec have strip/lapdancing joints - instant lowsec buff.
