Its the max the grid can actually take without problems.

Have to disagree. The aircraft carrier is already a jobs program.

There's thousands of contractors tied to dozens of Congressional seats who all make the widgets for this thing. It has so much momentum that it will never be killed, even if they're a waste for our sacred National Security compared to building submarines or investing more in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity
True also probably better paying than the job Bubba "Wallbuilder" Mcbricklayer would be getting

Also a Trump™ branded wall would be made of shoddy material and start to fall apart in 10 years, half of the money would be embezzled, contractors would go bankrupt and vanish etc

By solar power system, my assumption would be that it includes the necessary battery storage systems. See, the thing Tesla installed in Australia.

Also: Hydrogen is almost there as a liquid fuels replacement. Just requires serious investment. https://www.csiro.au/en/Do-business/...drogen-Roadmap

If Australia was smart about this within a decade we could be a massive renewable energy exporter. Same could be true of Arizona and Nevada (if they're smart they'll get California to pay for the energy in water).

Because our government are all partisan ideologue dinosaurs they did nothing but talk the most ridiculous shit about it, turns out they were (sans surprise) completely wrong and the battery pack in SA (South Australia) has been quite a success.

Global network, daytime side sells power to nighttime side. At least, that was Buckminster Fuller's theory.

Trump seems to be doing the best job at managing the stock plunge. Great to have a such high caliber businessman at the helm

And that is where power transmission losses start to become a problem. The 10% loss quoted earlier is from our existing system that doesn't have to move power generated from Saharan solar farms to Northern Europe.

Energy storage is another matter, but I think we are closer to solutions on that front.
