The nature of the USA 24h newscycle makes it impossible to ignore if one batshit thing is topped by another bumping the previous of the frontpage but you are allready seeing adjustment in reporting, e.g. more and more people stating the obvious and no longer playing his game. The 100 day mark hasnt even passed yet.
It already revolves around one key item:

How many and which Republican Top-Tier will consider being associated with Trump is going to end their career. As soon as that becomes a trend outside of Lindsey Graham and John McCain, things can move downhill really fast.
The Republican Party will not go down with Trump(or at least not want to), as soon as it becomes inevietable that he will go down, you will be able to count his days in office in weeks, because everyone and their mother will draft plan b and jump ship.

I actually believe the whole Plan-B drafting has already begun, and the only people speaking out vocally and publicly so far are those who do not need a plan-b due to wealth or seniority, like McCain or Graham.

Could someone explain if the right actually think Trump asking for an investigation on Obama is the same as the left asking for an investigation on Russian ties? Do they believe that these things are absolutely the same or don't care about the differences in context?

Of course they're not the same, one is true and the other fake propaganda.

He may not be that dumb actually. Or whoever is handling him (Bannon) isn't that dumb. Look at how the news went from covering Sessions to covering his tweet about wiretapping
The fact it's so transparent is what makes it dumb. I'll leave it as an exercise for you as to what that makes out media...
Doesn't really matter how transparent it is if it works though.

That's the wiretap on a Russian official. Totally what we're talking about.

Take a look at Alisters posting. Does that look like a rational human being to you?

Are so fucking stupid that guilt is irrelevant when partisan politics is involved? Both the wire taps and collusion happened, you know it happened. You're making excuses because your favorite party has been found to be deeply corrupted.

    Shame on you.

I think the one thing that becomes obvious here, if it hasn't already, is that our politics class has happily sold us out, over and over again. This isn't, or shouldn't be, a partisan issue. When do we march on Washington and lynch the lot of them?

When you collectively stop using social media as a pressure valve for your anger.

Yeah, I was going to use a food analogy, but you got it. We're like sheep in the dip waiting on the the shearing and then the inevitable date rape.

    Interested in the food analogy.

Yes, we get sold out over and over at the expense of businesses all the time. Take the current narrative about how we need to curb all the entitlement programs (subsidies for insurance, food stamps, etc) and how all these people are a drain on our society. Such a superb redirection when they gloss over the part where full time (40 hr/week) employees aren't making enough to get by without assistance. There are even some state government full time employees that qualify for some of these 'entitlement' programs, but it's the workers fault for letting the corporations prioritize economic efficiency (raw profit) at the expense of the social goods that these programs are designed to band-aid.

The solution is much harder; marching on Washington is unrealistic, it is too inconvenient :P. Many of the types of businesses subsidized by middle class taxpayers are only there to give the poor the illusion that they are close to the middle class. And without this construct, the middle class would see just how far from the top they really are.

    Pretty much.

The best trick the neo-libs have pulled is pitting the middle of the income distribution against the bottom. Salami tactics rule supreme.

    Re: the new aca replacement

The proposal defunds Planned Parenthood. No federal funding can be made, either directly or indirectly, by Medicaid to a healthcare organization that “provides for abortions,” other than those done in cases of rape or incest or to save the life of the mother. That’s Planned Parenthood. It’s proper to note that Planned Parenthood doesn’t use federal funds to pay for abortions, as that’s already against the law. This measure shuts down funding for the organization just because it uses other funds to cover those procedures.
For all the talk about small government not interfering with business, that sure looks like the government telling a business how to operate. Just another example of how this current administration seems to completely ignore the separation of church and state.

For those still wavering, separation of church and state means that even though I have concerns about abortion, and would prefer it be used sparingly or not at all, our constitution prevents me from pushing an agenda based on my personal beliefs on another human being. An intelligent person can understand this, and a righteous person will stand up for another person, even when (and especially when) they don't agree with them.

Supposedly the CIA leaks contain information about how they make their attacks look like they come from some other state actor.

lol CIA hacked DNC (as plausible as it was the ruskies)
