    English translation

ChinaLauncher forces the client language to english and intercepts some of the server calls to replace the chinese names with english ones.
    http://killboard.nl/china/ChinaLauncher.exe
    http://killboard.nl/china/english.dll
    http://killboard.nl/china/english.dat
Just put the three files together in any folder and run ChinaLauncher.exe. On the first launch it will give you a file browser dialog for bin/ExeFile.exe (not eve.exe!), and then stores the command line in ChinaLauncher.ini.

When you need to buy stuff from a market hub, go to the system next to Perimeter.

    [03:56:51] ????? > MSVCR100.dll is missing from pc so .exe doesn't work?
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/e...3-37bf0912db84 or http://killboard.nl/china/vcredist_x86.exe

Now, a lot of the location names are still chinese, or turn chinese after undocking, because they're requested from the server. Though might be able to work around that with the machonet cache files in %localappdata%

The other option, involving python code will always work, but that kind of opens the door to all sorts of abuse.

Actually, the map data is in resui.stuff. Fixed it by changing
    Code:
    resui.stuff:0xc996
    from
    6D
    to
    5F
Doesn't really make sense to upload a 173MB file when the change is only 1 byte, perhaps i could write a quick patching tool.

Well we're doing fine ATM. I think maybe hold off on uploading til you're done/made significant progress.

Or do some other sort of patching magic. Whatever you feel man.

That would have made it easier to find rancer last night. Does it change anything to do with linking system names in english?

Searching for systems in the world map control panel should work with that change.

Quick patch tool would be lovely for those of us technically challenged =/

It's like when I point to a plant. It dies. Same with this kind of stuff =P
J'ai violé votre vaisseau spatial. C'était amusant....!

EVE once was about internet spaceships. Then those became serious business.
Now all that is left is serious business, and spaceships are docked for two years till after the Dust of Incarna

Copying, pasting and deleting files is hard.

Was more thinking of them patching stuff. Might be easier for us to have an updatable patch tool thingy - if that makes any sense whatsoever.
