I'd spend a bit more for LGs new lower end ones, but Anker isn't garbage tier either.

I'm making 2-3 train journeys a month, so they don't need to be super expensive awesome ones. They just need to be good enough to let my laptop keep me entertained for a couple of hours.

Bought a whole ton of chargers and cables from them.
Couple bluetooth audio things too, in-ear (decent, good value) but went back to cans (still anker, much prefer to buds)

I prefer speakers to either, but the level of passive aggressive looks one gets in the Quiet Coach even when watching as something as inoffensive as an Attenborough makes the buds a requirement.

The Ankers arrived. They came with a manual, which was useful for reminding me to pull the little strips off so the buds would charge. Then it was a question of pressing the buttons randomly a couple of times and they did indeed just work. Sound quality exceeded my expectations: certainly good enough for my abraded eardrums. Good buy for £24.
