Seriously though the 609 has that ideal combination of agility and rolfstomp firepower that make you a threat to anyone. And not get killed off by the first fighter to get on your tail.
Besides that it also does better then most ground attack planes because you're faster and can climb and with those guns you'll kill ground targets before they'd get a chance to even come near.

I simply cannot get on with the ME410.
tried tight turns - its too slow
tried slow turns keeping speed up - still too slow.
once someone gets on my tail I might as well go back to hangar because i cant shake them off.
most games I last barely 30 seconds - im usually first target. everything ive tried in this plane fails.
go high at start and lose speed so other plains in the team take battle vs enemy then you pick and take down few targets on the ground turn around and kill head on enemy fighters that respond to the threat that is pretty much it
also always go up when you have someone on the tail
ive logged off in disgust tonight. im just a flying target for others. not on hit on an opponent in 6 games. got shot down every time. rage inducing stuff tbh.

la-9 is awesome, finding it easier and easier to hit things, lead em a bit, anticipate the turn and zoom in for greater control.

Prefer smaller more limited Tech Trees for USSR/USA/Germans at start if it meant we got Japan and UK in at start as well. For Planes, it is almost mandatory to have the Spitfire and Zero on day 1 IMO.

See the trouble with planes is that there were just so many good ones, in contrast to tanks. Britain, Italy, and Japan all had some pretty sweet fighter aircraft that are being left out of this game. There's no reason why they shouldn't be included at launch along with the USA, USSR, and Germany considering that there have been other games with all six countries' aircraft for years now. Want Breda, CC.2, and Macchi 205. :O

Well, now thats not quite accurate.
In fact, one of the big biases is that Americans (of which I am one) often understate drasticly the Eastern Front, and it's role and scope and importance to victory in WWII.
The same bias that has Americans claiming they "won WWI", when the truth is not quite so Amerojingoistic.
But your point is well said, WWII in Europe was certainly more about the UK (and France)/Germany/Russia trifecta, and the War in teh Pacific was a UK/Japan/US Trifecta.
Note, the UK was as prevalent in both theatres, yet is skipped in both WoT and WoWp till late. Marketing, yes, histrocial validity, not quite.
Actually WW2 fully pivoted around Germany vs Russia. When you look at the resources invested and scope of fighting, the whole rest of ww2 is trololol and all other theathres, apart from random pacific rimjobbery, was directly affected by the Germany vs Russia outcome.
Absolutely largest losses of Axis and Allies in both man and material were on the eastern front. That includes Luftwaffe.
Excludes naval fighting ( that was also fierce but cant compare with pacific ).
OFC the scope of fighting on the eastern front shouldn't overshadow other efforts on the other fronts by the rest of the. Battle for Britain , African , Italian , Normandy and Pacific etc
Paradoxically in the west eastern front is overshadowed by those. Which is understandable ofc. Everyone glorifies there own heroes celebrates there own victories etc.
