Not just re-education but also mass resettlement of Han Chinese to wipe out the local culture. They're doing the same thing in Tibet.

Mentions 37 casualties, unclear how many are dead. Injured count as casualties.

How many would it take to be huge anyway?

While most favor using religious law in family and property disputes, fewer support the application of severe punishments such as whippings or cutting off hands in criminal cases. The survey also shows that Muslims differ widely in how they interpret certain aspects of sharia, including whether divorce and family planning are morally acceptable.
Hey look I can do it too
    How much is "fewer?"

But in South Asia and the Middle East and North Africa, medians of more than half back both severe criminal punishments and the death penalty for Muslims who renounce their faith.
Oh. Well, when only half your population wants to kill apostates, is there really a problem? Wake me up when it hits 75% and we can have yet another discussion about how the Sykes-Picot agreement is to blame for all of this.

Hit me up when they hit the same level of socioeconomic development as the west and then I'll give a shit

If you want to hold them to our standards then get them to our standard of education/quality of life, until then you'll be pissing into the wind

Jihadi tourists born and raised in the west are educated and well off, at least in a global context. So why are they volunteering to die for the califate? Plenty of suicide bombers are from relatively comfortable backgrounds.

It's not poor quality of life that is creating religious extremism and corrupt pseudo-theocracies, it's religious extremism and corrupt pseudo-theocracies that is holding back quality of life.

Or maybe it's not as black and white, and both interact to bring about the same thing.

There are reasons for people to perform extreme acts beyond their religion

the point is, I don't care, I really don't, I'm so very tired of internet discourse going straight to the [all] modifier

Several individual free-thinking Moroccans culturally enrich foreign Danish/Norwegian girls.

24-year-old Louisa Vesterager Jespersen and [Maren Ueland] were found to be killed in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco on Monday.
And there's a video floating around somewhere of one of them getting decapitated.
