We just need Fox and Friends to talk about the good Kurds that fought Isis, the evil Turks and how they bought ISIS oil thus funding terrorism and how they almost conquered Vienna.

I feel like they're more focusing on Berlin this time.

The Turks are getting assistance from ISIS, who we're trying to kill, while they are trying to kill the YPG that is helping us kill ISIS, while we're trying to protect the YPG from the Turks while the Russians, Syrians and Iranians laugh at us all.

Smartphones contain magnetometers, accelerometers and gyroscopes, can sync with wearable devices (which may contain the same sensors) and normally cache information until they have a signal. Extrapolate.

Meanwhile, since we're talking about the enlightened Turkey,

When Recep Tayyip Erdogan's Turkish government took reprisals against hundreds of thousands of people suspected to have been involved in the failed coup of 2016, one of the criteria they used for whom to round up for indefinite detention as well as myriad human rights abuses (including torture) was whether people had a cookie on their computers set by a 1x1 tracking pixel served by Bylock, which the Erdogan regime says is evidence of support of exiled opposition leader Fethullah Gülen.

The tracking pixel was used by Bylock to gather data on its users, but it was also used by common free services, including an app that helped users find Mecca for daily prayers.

Turkish authorities used the pixel as evidence in treason accusations aimed at 11,480 people whom it now deems innocent; independent experts believe at least 30,000 people were wrongly accused based on the pixel's presence; many were imprisoned based on that accusation. It published a list of the phone numbers that had been "wrongly" accused -- but some of the people on that list had already committed suicide out of fear of reprisals from the state.

These devices can measure movement with the other sensors no? Compass/gyro/accelerometer like on smartphones. GPS cuts out and the device continues the track from where it dropped off using the other sensors?

Also sometimes people just post shit they shouldn't

I'm surprised they even bothered with any kind of evidence at all.

It's more likely they just rounded up predetermined suspects and declared a certain piece of information as evidence of wrongdoing.

It could just as well have been blue socks that damned these people.

Because losing access to your EVE account is pretty much the same thing as landing in a Turkish jail, right?

EDIT: Speaking of Turkish prison, they just rounded up the senior members of the Turkish Medical Association for having the nerve to criticize military operations in Syria.
