Alright so, realistically speeking, the French are the ones doing the heavy lifting.

In fact "on 1 July 2013, 6,000 of a future total of 12,600 UN peacekeeping troops officially took over responsibility for patrolling the country's north from France", this has been superseded by French forces.

Also, the vehicles in the image above are French VBCIs.

According to this there is a total of 823 French peacekeepers deployed on UN missions overall.

So im not to sure France is that involved atm, heavy lifting seems to be from African nations with western intelligence/specialist support.

That's on the UN mission, the french have been doing their own independent operation for over a decade.

There we go. I guess this is the crack force whilst the MINUSWA have the ability to be a more visible presence and more of a policing capacity over a larger area.

    Meanwhile in Lebanon: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/world-...y-police-force

The town of Broummana in Lebanon has hired a group of young women as auxiliary police officers for the summer - and dressed them all in shorts.
