over to the nutters in the hague for this live set by jan from unit moebius anonymous. i love it, it starts off as confrontational as anything with a load of ominous harsh noise then goes into some serious militant techno after an anxious hi hat workout with a load more noise - real aggressive middle finger electronic music, and people are there throughout - its fucking great that people are up for it. this is the punk side of techno for sure

Ellllís collage of beats merge as one, taking you through each track with a slit eyed, body pounding grace. At first I wondered about the sinister, despite the very sinister grin I bore as I listened to the four tracks on repeat. Even the pipe like whistle throughout Pegasus reminded me of a hard blowing wind, braced at the edge of cliff with the smell of ocean waking you to the introduction of Bear; harmonic beats, full round sounds and a deep growl more from a cub than a grizzly. The EP ends with Tease, and if this is teasing I want to hear it live. How long are Ellllís sets? I donít think I could last. The static burst at the end tells it all. Whether itís all a touch tingly or youíve gone digital I know Iím panned out dripped in sweat.

i kind of passed on this for some reason even though there was loads of hype behind it - i guess the mask gimmick put me off. however, this set is pure fire so the hype was more than justified
