    Technoheads assemble!

(Ok so I honestly could find a Techno thread so I made this one ok. Maybe one exists but whatever. Sue me.)

I was much more into the proper techno stuff years ago but fell out, I thought it just went too minimalistic.
But once in a while I like to get a healthy dose of compressed drums into my system, today that job fell on a Miss Dilemma and a mix from 2004.

This is all played on vinyl, proper mixed and recorded from the decks straight into a CD recorder. Girl got skills.

Although not as fast/hard/tough as Miss Dilemma this is pretty good shit as well. And actually linked by a friend of mine that I would not in a million years thought to like techno.
I was all like "wait, you like Ben Klock?" and she was "I do know!!!". I like her even more now haha!

I tend to agree with you on the minimalist stuff, unless it is someone really good and inventive, and there are a few around who can do that. I reckon the best techno set I ever heard was Surgeon at the legendary Orbit club (RIP) but these days I mainly listen at home or go to see one of my friends DJ. Anyway, content:

Dave Clarke continues to bang out a great podcast, subscribe if you love techno and electro http://www.rte.ie/radio1/podcast/podcast_whitenoise.xml

Another techno legend I follow is Chris Liebing http://www.clr.net/media.pl

Thanks for the links, plenty to listen to!

@ 27:25 but the whole set is amazing! Nice stuff to listen to while working/driving/any activity where D&B might cause me to accidentally stab someone

(It's Micha from Black Sun Empire's side project <3)

    Free EP here: https://www.facebook.com/tinlicker?s...pp_data&ref=nf

Will catch up on the stuff in this thread when i get a chance, i do like the more growly or funkier parts of tech, find the minimal stuff a bit to housey to get my groove on to though...

Some good shit in here. While not exactly techno, these borrow heavily from it.

I'm sure it's frustrating to be sperging about how someone said "no, not doing that yet" - but we've had 7 years to learn to pace ourselves after killing a block. And I dare say -- we've gotten quite good at it.

Sorry if it doesn't suit the armchair generals who have never committed to anything for more than 2 months, but by now we've learned that we really don't give a shit about what you think v0v.

Some of you guys might like this and its a blast from the past for me. Its a little more old school hard style.

Well, being oldfag and observing he is coming to a festival in Stockholm later this year I decided this deserves to be posted.

One of the best sets he ever made. Also containing one of the most bad ass backspin(s) ever performed (early in the second part, 36min or so).
      Spoiler:

The best set I ever heard from him was actually in Sweden, at a club in Uppsala (which is such an unlikely place for him to show up its ridiculous) where he proceeded to murder everything.
Also the only time I have ever seen him smile, and by god he smiled like a madman at the end while running 4 decks and the 808 at maximum destruction while we lost our shit on the floor.

    Anyway, back to the coalmine...

Detroit techno = best techno. Blake Baxter has always been criminally under-rated. I first heard this on a Tresor records compilation, which celebrates when Berlin first started getting it's hands on this sound from Detroit. It's from 1989 ffs and still sounds great.

Already repped for Tresor so quoting for appreciation and complete agreeness! Dave Clark played one of the best sets I ever heard in my life at festival out side of Stockholm.
Also caught him at Fabric in London on a whim, was most excellent his technical skills and utilzation of the decks and mixer are just scary good.

And this thread needs some Missile tracks. Lets start with this one.

      Spoiler:

Worth checking the top comments btw. :P

+1 reps for Advent and Industrialyzer. Those are a bad ass combo.

Sandra Mosh - Skallgång. She used to head up the friday nights on Swedish national radio and then head out to rain compressed beats all over town. This is from her first debut-EP that just released. Its good stuff.

    I Sandra Mosh.
