    Looking for a laptop

Looking for something for school, but still has a little bit of kick. I've only been looking at Asus, samsung and HP.

Is what I was thinking about, anyone else with laptop exp I would like your help. The battery time isn't mentioned for this one.
I'm sure it's frustrating to be sperging about how someone said "no, not doing that yet" - but we've had 7 years to learn to pace ourselves after killing a block. And I dare say -- we've gotten quite good at it.

Sorry if it doesn't suit the armchair generals who have never committed to anything for more than 2 months, but by now we've learned that we really don't give a shit about what you think v0v.

I wouldn't, if only because of the hard drive speed: 5,400 RPM. If you want something suitable for gaming then you'll want a faster drive. Otherwise, load times will be hell.

Recomending HP DV7 4000 series again - 17", lots of various specs available, good price, looks good, keyboards nice, batteries been fine for me so far & 2nd hard drive space for SSD or more HDD or whatever. Great laptop, expected HPfail but really enjoying it.

I have pretty much given my 17" laptop (very powerful) to flatmate, since I have a sandy vag desktop, and laptop is too heavy to actually bring around. I just bring android tablet instead.

For school the EEE slate would be amazing, you can use stylus to take notes and it's very powerful. Expensive tho. http://reviews.cnet.co.uk/ipad-and-tabl ... -50002199/

Get a 15" with a 24" monitor and full sized key board. 17" laptops are annoyingly big from past experience.

I didn't realize it was a 17" when I first looked at it.

In the end I got a 13" Asus U31JG. It was a little pricey but the battery time and really slim size was awesome. The specs were decent so if I want to run a eve client to change skills or play some minecraft I should be able to, if not 6+ hours for school sounds a-ok with me.

Randomly a vertical line of blue pixels has appeared, will have to call asus tomorrow and send it in
