I don't think anyone is that retarded...However taking advantage of a developing situation? It's more likely than you think.

china and rusrus (spicy space dildos)
    rest of NATO
    mexico and colombia (mmm coke)

Which time? Oh wait lol. Drinking another one for the stupid waste of human life.

At least this time everything will probably just stew and then be memory holed by something incredibly stupid.

US closing embassy in Kyiv and moving remaining diplomats to western Ukraine

Ukraine president issues clarification on earlier statement that Russia will attack Wednesday

According to local, national news. The "wednesday" prediction was given to the Ukraine president by U.S intelligence.

Images from the Sentinel-1 satelitte operated by ESA shows a large number of Russian warships have left Sevastapol yesturday. At least 4 warships, 3-4 Landing ships, and 4 Tarantuls corvettes. Several auxiliary vessels and coast guard ships are also missing from their moorings (uamap).

Russian units near Ukraine moved into "attack positions," U.S. official says

Russia could announce eastern parts of Ukraine as independent tomorrow (Russian state media article)

Everything in place for massive Russian attack on Ukraine, France says

In more confusing, but related news:

"The Greek foreign ministry said in a statement that three Ukrainian soldiers were "responsible" for the deaths and injuries to the four Greeks in the village of Hranitne close to the "line of contact" with pro-Russian separatist forces, who seized a swathe of eastern Ukraine in 2014.

It said the violence erupted after the Greeks and Ukrainian soldiers got into an argument "for an insignificant reason"
Article with video (nsfw video in it)

Official statement from the Ukrainian military prosecution. (facebook)

One of the dead was a member of Ukrainian National Guard.

By the looks of it and going with current predictions, which in the past turned out to be even too optimistic, I will actually witness the flooding of e.g. Hamburg*) in my life time. At that point, do you really think any government will still care what's going on around them in other countries? I slowly come to the realization that the preppers were right all along - just for the wrong reasons.

*) As it happens, today almost exactly 60 years ago (16th/17th February 1962) the North Sea flood happened. In Germany known as the "Hamburger Sturmflut" (Hamburg storm flooding)
Definitely agree with this, we're going to witness huge events but in the background of those events some people who still think territory is important will move in to take advantage. Won't be fun.
Territory is going to be more important if less of it remains inhabitable or useable
Well, have fun then dealing with all the refugees swarming that territory. And this time around, they might be armed...

It can't be a russian naval invasion until the dedicated tugs for the warships show up!

I wouldn't be surprised if all this ends with no change at all and Putin just complaining about paranoia among the western nations. But then I wouldn't be surprised about an actual invasion as well, I just think that's less likely.

Last I heard, the Duma has recognized the contested eastern ukrainian territories as independent (lol). So theres your casus belli, but also possibly your out.

Putin has everyone so riled up that i can see NATO selling out Ukraine just to maintain the status quo. Hooray for appeasement.

Honestly, if it could end there i wouldnt even be mad.
