Nah, it's still 65 rubles to the dollar, so the cost will be $717 million. Whether they have the money to do so and whether they can acquire the equipment necessary to do so due to sanctions is not known.

With electricity cut off, Crimea directs little remaining energy to the most essential needs:

Ukraine closes its airspace to all Russian planes.

"The Ukrainian government has decided to ban all transit flights for all Russian airlines in Ukraine's airspace," said Mr Yatsenyuk.

"The government is instructing [aviation authority] Ukraerorukh, in line with the norms of international law, to inform the Russian Federation that Russian airlines and Russian aircraft do not have the right to use Ukraine's airspace any longer."

Ukraine returned B-4 weapon to service. Hello from 1930s.
Damn it, and what type of shells they will be using? The ones that are older than crew's grandfathers?

BTW, for all the armchair generals out there.

    Combat Mission: Black Sea

The same company that made the old combat mission games has one set in Ukraine in 2017 following a Russian invasion. It's pretty fun, though potato graphics.

Russian Parliament considers using nuclear submarines to supply Crimea with electricity.

"The use of nuclear and diesel submarines will completely satisfy the peninsula's demand for electricity. There is an initiative, it will be considered promptly."

Better use for them than hiding under the arctic ice waiting for doomsday tbh.

What about the Black sea being off-limits for nuclear powered stuff?

And most of the russian SSN's and SSBN's are just sitting on dock being "in reserve".

Is it? Montreux convention is from 1936, i suppose it doesnt mention nuclear powered stuff.
When I see a bird that walks like a duck, swims like a duck and quacks like a duck id call it a duck.
And if the bird denies to be a duck it is a russian duck.
