Everyone arguing for appeasement, loosing sanctions etc, is a failure of a human being. It's sad because of people valuing their bussines with russia more things like that happen.

The problem with these sanctions is that we hardly can tell how effective they're are .. at least the general public. And of all countries, due to its rich natural resources, Russia is one of those suffering the least from sanctions unfortunately. Or at least they don't hurt Russia as much as we wish in the short term.
Still, they're a strong political signal and should be kept up, of course.
And honestly the amount of whining going on in Germany is disgusting. There's literally blood on the streets next door, so to speak, but the German sucker is unable to keep his fucking car at home and use public transport instead for the time being, because it's "inconvenient".
Declaring Russia as a Terrorist State or State Sponsor of Terrorism with have a backlash on the international community so hard, it is still not ready to do so.

By Moscow's own cherrypicked, wartime propagandising, Putin-pleasing figures, Russia will see a ~7% GDP shrink in 2022. That compares to 6% for the US in the Great Depression 1930-31, but compressed into 10 months. And that's including a number of short term, robbing the future type policies. Realistically it's 10%+ 2023 will be considerably worse.
The Russian government has, correctly, called the sanctions "Economic warfare", because they are. Sanctions are working, which is why the Russian state is bitching about them so very much.
They probably won't lead to a revolution but they will give a very very strong impetus to the regions outside the Moscow-St Petersberg axis to, shall we say, consider their options.
If you think parts of Russia will secede over this you obviously don't understand Russia.

Some regions have already forbidden the export of foodstuffs (like sugar) to other areas of Russia. So yes, in a sense they have seceded.
Putin, of course, is entirely blameless. It's those corrupt local governors who are the reason why there's a food shortage.
