Surrendering Crimea was probably part of a redacted call that Zelinsky had with Trump.

Almost every victim of this conflict is already in Poland or EU. Let them have it and let's see how it will prosper.
So, time to ressurect this thread? Looks like things are going to kick off again. Latest developments:

As to why the UK is avoiding Germany. We haven't banned any flights or whatever regarding weapon transports to Ukraine. Our government doesn't want to send any (mistake imho) as they would prefer a diplomatic solution. Nordstream 2 is on hold as our new government has parties in it that were against the project from the start. A very likely explanation for those detours is that if you want to transport dangerous goods through Germany, including flying over it, you need to get a permit. And those do take a while, 1.5 weeks and more have been mentioned in the relevant subs.
EDIT:
Journalist asked the German defence ministry. They have no permit requests from the UK.

nevar forget
This is just Putin pretending to have his pride wounded again and for some reason the west is going along with it and pandering to his ego.
This is all internal Russian politics, everytime his popularity stinks he pulls this shit. It's dangerous and it needs to stop.
Quite true.
And the other thing is that we may want to stop Putin, but we need to be willing to follow through and do whatever is takes to stop him. If we're not willing to do that, then half-arsing things, like we did in Syria does more harm than good.
From a UK perspective I can't see how we would stop him or why we would want to go all-in over Ukraine. I wish it were different, but wishes ain't a good guide to policy.
whatever, just don't nuke moskau pls
Russia announces deployment of over 140 warships, some to Black Sea, after Biden warning
Why is Russia so terrified of Ukraine? Maybe there's something they aren't telling us and we all should be terrified of Ukraine?
Maybe there's a Cthulhu cult roaming the Donbass countryside and Putin is doing the world a favor by saving it from doomsday and not litteraly bringing it upon us

Why is Russia rushing into another Afghanistan? Because that's exactly what will happen.

Oh look, if it isn't blowback from terrible liberal foreign policy in the 90s again.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.
Meh. All of this is just posturing for the folks back home in Russia. Russia isnt stupid enough to actually start invading former USSR countries until after the US collapses into civil war. Pushing earlier will just give the US a meaningful external threat that they can parade around to get the left & right to direct their hatred towards the communists instead of each other.
