:tinfoil: Article really written by hipster with beard in order to make other hipsters with beards shave theirs off because he says they won't get no poontang with a scruff. Thus the mean average of beard wearing men goes down thereby making bearded men more attractive.

Can we make this the beard and shaving thread?

I have been using a safety razor for nearly a year now. I have liked the results and added difficulty of shaving.

Also it's old school and neat. Face skin health has improved too.

Looks nice but I wonder how tough the paint is. I like my stainless steel cause I can just toss it in a vinegar bath to clean off the soap.

It's not paint - it's a carbon coating. And the grip is rubberized.
For some reason I don't like the feel of knurled steel. :Autism:

It was a 500 units limited edition, last one I saw on ebay was upmarked to 300$. :/

Well one of these days I'll have to buy a regular R89 and make the switch to safety razors.

If I didn't look like a child without a beard I would shave with a safety razor.

    They seem pretty cool.

Suggestions for a good beard trimmer?

I try to keep it Hans Gruber style 80s professional looking but holy shit is it a lot of work with a comb and a bic razor.

My exact feelings on the matter - the density between portions of my face makes trimming it more of a pain than just keeping the skin fresh is. Also, having patches of red/blonde in the middle of brown facial hair.

      Spoiler:

I use a Philips Norelco 9100 which is great. I've seen good ones from Babyliss, Wahl and Remington as well (but Philips is my personal pref). Don't spend less than 40 GBP on a trimmer, or they'll be cheap and shit. The laser guided ones are probably easier for a sharp trim, but you can get the same outcome with a little bit more effort out of a regular one.

I've been growing a beard for 7 weeks. It looks sweet, I just have to keep trimming the neckbeard away every week. Tempted to keep it growing for the summer, and then shave it off with a straight razor before school because :ball:
