Tranquility (EVE) Influence Map
Life is absurd, but with a little effort we can make it completely ridiculous
Surprising tbh, my point still stands.
Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.

P. much.
And I liked Dukat's character more before he became one too. It really diminished his character tbh.
Indeed. Dukat was one of ST's best villains. I know everyone loves Q, but most of the time I found him annoying as hell.
Q was a stooge more than a villain. I'll second secular Dukat as my favourite villain but Kai Winn was the One that really made me grit my teeth. Even made up religious bigots infuriates me to no end.
Marc Alaimo did an absolutely fantastic job building that character, there's kind of a sad bit in the DS9 doc where he talks about how he never felt appreciated by the cast and crew and no one ever told him he was doing well, and one of the directors said "we thought you knew, because we kept asking you to come back."
He also comes off as a weeeeeeeee bit of a creeper in another part so I'm sure there's volumes of grade A hollywood drama behind the scenes. But he unquestionably made Gul Dukat a standout in Trek lore.

Yeah, Dumar was a good character. Really glad they promoted him from being an extra.
I've started watching Enterprise. Thoughts after the pilot are:
-premise is cool
-intro song is atrocious
-unnecessary titillation
So far it's not bad and as far as season openings of ST shows it's best one so far.
I have very little recollection of Enterprise, so at least it wasnt memorably bad.
Some weird love drama with First Officer Vulcan Torpedotits, a dog with droopy eyes, and cheap set design? Idk, and something something time travel or parallel dimensions or something else.
Squandered potential, because the concept was moderately cool. Par for the course with everything after DS9, tbh.
How could you forget Space Nazis?
