Just caught up with all of it, really enjoying it tbh. Klingons are still the warrior race trope that are terrible at actual fighting as well I see.

First the swearing. Now I've seen Klingon titties. What the hell man.

The Game of Thrones effect. People want titties and dragons. So CBS one-ups them by putting titties on a dragon.

Surely by now everyone agrees Orville is the real new Trek.

Isn't that what you get for bringing a sword to a fazer fight?

Nah, as it turns out they're terrible at both shooting and fighting with their poorly designed ceremonial "swords".

They are excellent at laughing though. HA HA HA HA

TNG but there were a couple doing pretty much exactly the same thing in last nights Discovery ep.

That mid season finale was great!
    Bestest Star Trek episode ever?

The foreshadowing of the "one more jump" really annoyed me.

Bit obvious but... minor issue really

Will you take bets for a derelict ship graveyard perilously close to the Klingon homeworld?

Can't think of many more possibilities.

Site of a very old battle between the houses?

My immediate thought was that it's a graveyard of all the ships that dabble with a spore drive and 'someone' goes "No more of that, thx" but that's purely because I'm still trying to work out how they're going to square the drive with established canon.

Just so we're all on the same page, we all noticed that Lorca entered an override before the last jump right? Jump 133: Unknown

He probably didn't buy the "we wanna give you a medal" story and decided to head for one of the alternate dimensions he discussed with Stamets. Jumping to another dimension is probably what finally pushed Stammy over the limit.

If foreshadowing annoys you, you need to stop watching TV/reading books etc. That's a very valid technique to use.

As for where they might have jumped as well, see below:

    Sort of missed it.

What if they jumped into the prime time line/universe?

When do we get the remaining season? January?

    Comment from reddit:
Well that was awesome. Culber used a loading dose of digoxin at a dose of 0.24 mg (IIRC) to treat Stamets' "sinoatrial dysfunction". That's an appropriate loading dose in 2017 (well, 250 mics, not 240) for certain types of "sinatrial dysfunction" (like, say, atrial fibrillation with a rapid ventricular rate), though these days it's a third-line medication.

Anyway, I think this might be the first time that Star Trek used a real medical drug, and not only that, in an appropriate dose and in an appropriate setting. Pretty cool!

Thats what im hoping especially as he has mentioned about the alt realities. My theory is he is trying to find one where he didnt loose his ship.

My gripe isn't so much the trope as it is how telegraphed it was.

He might have well have fashioned himself a Danny Glover mustache and said "one more day till retirement."

I don't think a little more subtlety, given the quality of TV these days, is too much to expect.

      Spoiler:

"Hi lorcan, it's me clem fandango, can you here me?"

"Yes I can here you clem fandango!"

"Can you read the line about inter species Stockholm syndrome torture/love rape?"

Damn fine show, I wonder how many trek haters like myself are enjoying it.

Also listened to a podcast with Paul staments today who's work this is extrapolated from and who Lt staments is named after

Less than Trek fans being disappointed by it.
