Spectre of the Gun was especially good
As was Space Seed and Doomsday
"I think we could all do with sitting back a bit and detaching ourselves from the situation to really think about how these issues reflect on our future and how we discuss them here and be a bit less aggressive or defensive because everyone has a complicated set of circumstances that has led the to place importance on particular issues and it doesn't meany any of them is less valid, we just need to look at the broader picture"

Balance of Terror favorite ST episode ever, City on the Edge of Forever is one of the only time travel ST stories that I liked.

So the first starfleet ship destroyed in the Discovery pilot is the USS Europa. Really makes you think.

Apparently there will be a new Star Trek animated series from one of the Rick and Morty writers Star Trek: Lower Decks

“Mike won our hearts with his first sentence: ‘I want to do a show about the people who put the yellow cartridge in the food replicator so a banana can come out the other end,’” Star Trek: Discovery co-creator Alex Kurtzman told Variety. “His cat’s name is Riker. His son’s name is Sagan. The man is committed. He’s brilliantly funny and knows every inch of every ‘Trek’ episode, and that’s his secret sauce: he writes with the pure, joyful heart of a true fan."
Not sure what to think of this ...

I've been watching some ToS episodes. There's a lot of stuff that even I find problematic. Just watched the 'Jack the Ripper' episode...
