I...I dont think I'm going to like it. And isnt there another very, very similar animated space series out there already? Same style, humor etc? I think its on Netflix?
And if they want to make a funny StarTrek just keep on with The Orville, it was the best attempt yet (as we all agree on already, right guys. Right.)
I'm happy to hold off real judgement until the series is out. But the Rick & Morty connection worries me in as much as that kind of nihilism would be entirely out of place in a Star Trek production.

It gave me strong Final Space vibes. And I enjoyed Final Space, but in the Trek universe it feels very wrong.
'I'm pro life. I'm a non-smoker. I'm a pro-life non-smoker. WOO, Let the party begin!'
I listened to a few episodes. It's pretty good.
McNeill doesn't come across as particularly nerdy, but both of the actors have a good enough grasp of the Trek lore/legacy and how Voyager fits within it. About 1/3 to 1/2 of the podcast is about the actual content of the episode. The rest is mainly background detail about filming the show, acting / TV production in general, and behind the scenes stories involving the rest of the cast.
I mean, that's why Picard was so miserable right? It was straight nihilism all the way through and it sucked. And as critical as one can be about R&M it does actually do a good job of exploring far-out scifi concepts, so maybe that element will be a good fit.
Also, really liking the Harry / Tom podcast too. Good shout, Bolt![]()

Mildly amusing. Watchable. Interesting cameos.
I mostly liked it.
It's like a B tier Rick and Morty. More of the jokes miss though.
12 minutes of angry lispy ranting, tl;dw?

Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened yourselves for slaughter.
