Finished watching Good Time. Apparently Pattinson can act? The soundtrack is synth heavy and great.

Saw Justice League earlier (only six people in the screen on opening day, and I get in for free, looool)

      Spoiler:
It's.... not the worst film ever, has some interesting ideas in how to show the strength difference between *Supes and the rest of the gang.

Opening sequence was probably the best bit, and that's only because it was reminiscent of Watchmen.

It's very rare that I say it of a film these days, but it really could have done with an extra 45mins for fleshing out. Felt very rushed.

    Humour is piss poor

*shock, horror - no one saw that coming!
, 2/5 Would watch Ragnorak again.

I got that somewhere around The Machinist.

This is the exact same thing I read in a review of it. They attributed it ...
      Spoiler:

... to the fact that the setup/introduction of the characters needed so long, that the time left to wrap up the main plot was pretty short and that therefore it felt rushed.

I assume a later director's cut will make it watchable.

I assume the few scenes at the tail end of the movie that felt jarring were Whedon's doing. "Supes carries a building" scene made me cringe super hard, mostly because as it was shot it didn't fit the rest of the movie's aesthetic. Same for "refugee truck breaks down and slides to a stop". What the fuck is this, the Grand Budapest Hotel?
All expressed opinions match those of my employers, hail satan

He had it for MI6 just finished shooting it had to keep it on in case of reshoots, when he was called in for JL reshoots but paramount wouldn't let him shave it.

I think almost every shot with Supes was done in the reshoots.
The 45 minutes or so shaved off the run time was because the plot completely changed.

Did feel very rushed too me and the red sky tint cgi change from the earlier normal *blue* made some of the cgi look bad.

Could have done with another 20-30mins added on to flesh out some of the plot/character beats, just have to wait for the directors edition.

Murder on the Orient Express surprised me.

Went in, and until about midway i thought i was in a Wes Anderson / Inspector Cluseau caper. Then it turns Drama, and even tries to get philosophical. Left uncomfortable, because im opposed to its conclusion, but that doesnt make it a bad movie.
Some things dont quite make sense in my opinion, unless you accept it as artistic license. Definitely deserves a re-watch if you like watching out for iconography (is that the right word?) from a changed perspective.

e: Justice League is pretty stupid. Everything about the villain is trash tier. Supes gets hyped as "beacon of hope blahblah" again but in the end he might as well be Puncherman. Same as Aquadude. The whole movie feels so forced, you can see the desperation of the execs.
Cyborg was okay, as were some of the Batflek "Im just a dude with money, getting too old for this shit" parts. Flash was THE WURST.

Skip it if you were going to pay money to see it, maybe rewatch Ragnarok if you need a popcorn fix.
