Passthepopcorn. Although members is capped, so you'll have to wait for them to do a cull or increase it again.

    Weekend watch list:

Valerian and the city of a thousand cities.
Garbage, didn't like the story. Absolutely hated the main characters, virtually all characters for that matter.
Movie tries so hard to be the next Fifth Element, but doesn't even reach up to the first element. Abysmal.

    Atomic Blonde
Movie doesn't pretend to be something it isn't.
Action packed with happy-violence in buckets. Enjoyed it quite a bit.
Probably scored a lot of bonus points since I saw it right after that awful valerian movie.

Excellent film but fuck its depressing
"I think we could all do with sitting back a bit and detaching ourselves from the situation to really think about how these issues reflect on our future and how we discuss them here and be a bit less aggressive or defensive because everyone has a complicated set of circumstances that has led the to place importance on particular issues and it doesn't meany any of them is less valid, we just need to look at the broader picture"

    Just watched Valerian

Am shocked that no nerds seemed to realise that they aren't the target audience...

It's a perfectly serviceable teen romance film with some good sci fi visuals. Some films just aren't made for you

I loved it. Does that mean I'm a teen now?

TBH the teen romance was p bad and my wife severely disliked that part. I was all-in on the goofy sci-fi roller coaster ride though.

I fucking love Fifth Element so I was willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and be sucked in by the shiny, camp sci-fi, but the script is a total shambles and the main characters aren't believable at all. I was even drunk when I was watching it and it still annoyed me enough to give up half way through.

can't really compare Valerian to Fifth Element, Luc's earlier piece is a work of genius and has a special place in my heart

Some films made for children are wonderful. Not sure what your point is.
