Dunekek was absolutely fucking awful as a war movie. Great sound and montage though.

Got around to watching Bright. Its alright. Decent worldbuilding, ending falls kinda flat since everything needs to get wrapped up. Kinda weak antagonists (zero characterization), that conveniently forget how to be OP in the final fight.

    Orc dude best dude.

Another one on the "Maybe next time Netflix can deliver something actually good" pile.

Darkest Hour, I, Tonya and Dunkirk i havent seen since they didnt really interest me.

e: I feel like the Oscar season is a real thing tho, some movies from earlier in the year got passed over. You can rag on shitty blockbusters all you like, objectively cinema keeps putting out quality content (scattered among the bullshit).
Three billboards is easily the best movie.
    I, Tonya is hilarious.

Really happy for Gary Oldman. He really deserved the Oscar.

He's not wrong. As a film it wasn't great and probably won't transfer well to the small screen. Really deserved the oscars it got though.

Sadly everything pointing to it being real unless someone trolled every media outlet out there, which, in this day and age to be fair is possible but not likely. :P

Maybe its new marketing stratagem... get everyone talking about how utterly amateurish your promo art is... which in turn gets everyone talking/thinking about your movie.. which pushes deeper into unconscious thought and makes people more likely to go see it?

TBH, there haven't been any good WW2 movies about the eastern front in the last ten years?

Let's not bring up the atrocity that was enemy wehraboo at the gates.
