Ah yes the "I want to skin dogs" movie has hope. Are you out of your fucking mind?

Imagine if they had Emma Stone actually skin a dog on camera in a Disney film.
MORTAL KOMBAT!
Gore level, satisfactory
Why is it called earth, when it is mostly water???
The movies made after video games are by definition bad at best.
Last one:
Anyone seen "The Night Comes For Us?" released in 2018? Just came across it, trailer looks promisingly violent
Should be on Netflix, but be warned as it is in foreign
P.S.: I did come across this when I read about the Hollywood remake of Train to Busan, which does seem unnecessary
Thank ye sire, I shall report back with the official FHC verdict then
Just watched I Care A Lot.
Supposedly a black comedy. Instead it is a movie that has no idea what it is supposed to be, nor can make its cast be more than horrible monsters.
Rosamund Pike - a sociopath who uses the guardianship system to imprison elderly people in care homes so she can steal their assets. She played a sociopath in Gone Girl and people like pretty sociopaths right?
Peter Dinklage - people liked him in GOT so surely he'll make a great Russian mobster who for all his menace cannot deal with one pretty sociopath.
Hey look how woke we are: the sociopath is in a lesbian relationship with another sociopath. Or is it anti-woke because the women in this movie - the sociopathic lesbians, the corrupt doctor selling her patients, the mobster's elderly mother - are all horrible people.
Maybe it is a commentary on how the legal system can be used to strip people of their rights and property? Nope.
Maybe it is a commentary on late-stage capitalism, or how the corporate world and organised crime are interchangable? Maybe?
Perhaps people in the entertainment industry actually believe that sociopaths are people movie watchers will root for? No idea.
The only character who comes close to being a hero in this movie is the guy who takes revenge for his elderly mother via the barrel of a gun. But he is portrayed as a sexist loser.
Also the whole turning of the tables between the pretty sociopath and the mobsters was totally reliant of the mobsters being incompetent and the heroines (????) having plot armour.
Afterwards I looked at the usual sites and this is a movie the critics seemed to like but the audience hates.
You are aware that there's a real sequel to it from the original director: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peninsula_(film). Haven't seen it yet, though.
But yeah, Hollywood's tendency to do "remakes" of movies from just a couple of years ago is quite annoying.
The argument for how holywood just often copy pastes movies nowadays starts around 4:00.
