People have been failing, badly, to remake or sequel Arnold flicks for ages, it never seems to work (T2 the lone exception I can think of).

Terminator films, crap. Predator films, generally crap. Total Recall-lol, ugh.

If they try to remake Commando, I'm quite confident, it will be crap.

But established fan-bases in the 35-50 age range with disposable income and a penchant for nostalgia is a heck of a market to exploit.

I watched the first half of Rampage the other day. I might not be in the demographic for this kind of stuff anymore, but The Rock is the closest thing we have to post-Rocky/First Blood Sly we have atm. Cant hold a candle to Ahnold tho.

That's your opinion and you're wrong, Total Recall was pretty good

(as an action scifi movie, same as Ghost in the Shell 2017)

    /trigger warning.

Couldn't get over the impossible railway through the center of the earth. Not only was mars kind of fun, and plausible enough to evade suspension of disbelief, mohorail was just super dumb on every level (world building plausibility, science, tech, politics, economics etc). Oh, and it was all just a dream... Bullshit remake. I can't even remember any of the action sequences I was so triggered after watching it.

    Aye, that's probably fair.

Jason Statham can fill in as today's more charismatic Jean Claude Van Damme/Steven Seagal too.

Oh man, so he didn't fuck off to obscurity after that. I very much enjoyed that movie, hyped for this one.

I'm having visual orgasm just by looking at the trailer. Fuck me, that dude has an eye for visuals.
