Tech 2 bulkhead rigs are like fuck all and give you a decent extra amount of HP so worth using. Also would go for two flights of small drones personally to drive off annoying frigs.

warriors are still the fastest but do the least damage, acolytes are fast enough and do a bit more damage despite the EM damage type.

I figured I'd share a Brutix setup that I've had good success roaming the depths of 00.

    Code:
    [Brutix, Fat Thorax]
    Damage Control II
Medium Ancillary Armor Repairer, Nanite Repair Paste
    Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
    Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
    Magnetic Field Stabilizer II
    Magnetic Field Stabilizer II

    Experimental 10MN Microwarpdrive I
    Medium Micro Jump Drive
    Stasis Webifier II
    Warp Scrambler II

Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Heavy Ion Blaster II, Caldari Navy Antimatter Charge M
Medium Diminishing Power System Drain I

    Medium Hyperspatial Velocity Optimizer I
Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints II
Medium Low Friction Nozzle Joints II

    Valkyrie II x5
    Implants: EO-6, EM-7, MH-805, RF-9/SS-9

It's exactly what the title says; a Fat Thorax.
It warps in 6.1 seconds, and travels at 3au/s.

While not as fast MWDing as a Thorax it makes up for it by:
    • having a stronger active tank (thanks to the bonus)
    • having stronger base stats (hp/ss/cap etc)
    • way more dps, doing over 800 w/ antimatter, before heat

Sadly, it IS easier to be hit because of its size. So if you see bombers, good luck.
You can't fly this like your average BC, you need to be REALLY quick to commit since tanking is not you bag.
See a target -> OVERLOAD AND MELT.

The nos is to keep your guns blazing, and maybe help you rep a bit.
Suspect all Vexors to be neut fit, and primary them errytime.

The reason for this setup is to overcome/disprove some things about BCs.
It's proven VERY strong, and it is pretty damn cheap to fly. The hull is nearly free, and the t2 rigs were ~5mil each.

My only concession for BCs nowadays is that they NEED an MJD in 00.
Some exceptions can be made (Suitonia's nano-Cyclone), but it's just too easy to catch/kill these things otherwise.
Besides, moon-walking out of heavy bubbled gates & dunking on sniping targets is just too useful.

You can run a similar setup with a Hurricane, but just about every stat is a little worse (even tracking, but especially damage).
I haven't flown that enough to tell you if it's the SHIP that's bad or my luck, so YMMV.

FWIW, The Myrmidon can do the exact same thing with one big issue.
The ship is KNOWN for a big tank, so people respond with that in mind.
I keep my Myrms tank fit, but use that 5th mid for making calls to Michael Jackson/Jordan.

Since losing my hull tanked Brutix I've been using a Myrmidon with basically the same fit, but the biggest difference aside from better protection is that fifth mid lets you run a sebo, great for the added scan res but even greater because it lets you lock beyond 100km, so you can more effectively MJD aggressively

Sure, but its also much worse in p. much every single way. Tank, dps, mobility...

I've tried to make a kiting brutix work, and its pretty boss if you have a buddy to deal w/ light tackle. 2k m/s, 500ish gun dps out to 35+15
(tracking is shit though, no amount of tracking rigs will fix it)

Solo and fleet are sometimes miles apart. As is the reaction people have to a Brutix on scan compared to a Deimos.
