Why not one single bhaalgorn on the kill, AHARM? Just a neut domi and a carrier for cap warfare (maybe the NMs utility highs too, but still)? Surely you could field the logis to keep any BS alive. BR!
i'll see what we can sort out for a BR; I assume that something will be coming up in the blog at least in a few days

nothing but props to these guys for bringing a fight twice against us with limited numbers, and for going down with mighty space honour in the end - he certainly had the time to SD, and he didn't.

    Holy cow batman.

Is that THE guiding hand social club? In my head they were retired to eve mythology and history books.
The existence of space means the existence of pirates.

I've mailed the following message to a number of established wormhole groups and alliances. As this thread is also visited by Eve players who are invested in wormholes, I felt it was appropriate to post here as well.

Hope to see you there! --Nathan

Two step, current CSM6 alternate and prior Aperature Harmonics CEO, is once again a candidate for the upcoming Council of Stellar Management elections.

To view his current qualifications and platform, visit his blog:
    http://twostep4csm.blogspot.com/

Two step strongly believes that the "wormhole vote" must be consolidated behind a single candidate, if we are to get a formal representative and make our special concerns known before CCP. To help answer any questions you may have about his candidacy, he has agreed to hold a Question-and-Answer session on the Talocan United Teamspeak server at the following time:

20.00 Eve time, Saturday, Feb 18th
    Teamspeak server details: 107.21.96.179:2222

All interested wormhole residents are invited to attend, whatever your affiliation may be. We can host up to 400 people on our server, so bring your friends!

Points of contact for this event are as follows [all in-game names]:

    * Two step
    * Nathan Jameson (Executor Talocan United)
    * Zariah Oken (TS3 admin)
    * The "Talocan United" public channel, as a last resort

Please prepare your questions and join us for a thought-provoking night! Hope to see you there!

Official BR will hit the blog eventually, but for now just gonna cross post from something I posted on a non Eve forum (more info so not just a repeat post imo)

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yet another example of why Eve is the only game I can play for more than about 5 hours:

http://dontshootx.com/killboard/?a=k...d&kll_id=11201 (edit: linked above by Pattern)

Sprung someone else's trap, no clue what kind of system we were jumping into (hence armor ships in a +shield -armor resist system), lost our triage carrier early, collapsed our retreat with a dread and still fucking pulled it out somehow despite no reps.

1 dread vs 4, 1 triage carrier that died early vs 2 triage carriers. Our shield dread finished in armor with 3% cap and 90% heat damage. multiple ships of ours were in structure and both of my characters were in deep armor and 90% overheated.

Fuck WoW and the means nothing everyone wins pvp, the high you get from a fight like that cannot be attained without something on the line imo.

Give R&K a run for their money with some decent editing & angles if you have them
Lets see the w-space officer triage carrier's POV this time, eh? Edit: Or that dread's!

    U mad, bro?

But seriously, they managed a damned fine piece of story of a carrier-focused wormhole brawl without a single view from the hero cap ship or bhaalgorn (just some retard proteus pilot who can't keep in his optimal )
While afaik we can only assume it was an officer fit carrier, we know the one you guys recently lost was (partially at least). And you seem to have still won out against greater odds, 4 dreads vs 1 and all that. If you don't have the fraps, just say, but I think you can rise to the challenge and do better than Clarion Call 3 or the 10/10/10 vid you've released.

And I am resubbed but still burnt out from w-space, so vOv.

In my experience its a random DPS that usually does the FRAPSing. It is tough to do anything important to a fleet battle and get good angles, pretty images and what not. As a triage pilot, or in this case a hero moros, theres a lot of micro managing that goes into the fights. While the footage may be more enjoyable, the beauty of the video may be lost. Essentially it comes down to what type of video you want .

He's always mad when he's on this forum for some reason :P

As Ham mentioned, I think the hard part is it is very rare for the frapser to have a key part of the fight. I think we'd all love to have the viewpoint of the hero dread, but he was a bit busy and didn't start fraps ;P It is usually a t3 that can focus on shooting the primary and keeping optimal/transversal sorted.

As for epic RnK style videos I think there are a few things holding us back. 1) It is a ton of work, it is a ton easier to throw up an unedited fraps for internal use and an edited one (comms/chat windows removed) for external. 2) Tbh, not sure how eager we are to help people tbh because a lot of the time we have success where we should get owned due to bad FCing/strategy on the other side. 3) I think a big thing for me and probably others is that for a story to be worth telling it should be as truthful and informative as possible, and agreeing on what that should look like would not be trivial imo. RnK released a very enjoyable but heavily edited (with lots of stuff left out) story with fake comms. Real comms with the good/bad/ugly doesn't tend to happen unless it is leaked via spy and I don't know that we are likely to break that trend either.

Footage playback is usually at 200% speed, so clearly some things get left out of comms from every fight we make a video of. Still, we try to include Teamspeak recordings from the fight with the 'good/bad/ugly', as you put it.

There are exceptions - uncensored comms is different from comms. For example, if I call someone a fool in a battle, and later realise my mistake, would I include it in a video? Or would it be on the cutting room floor? It depends - if I felt it would unfairly reflect on the pilot it would disappear from the audio because my first duty is to my friends and fleet. And, to follow the example, I can't break the action to say in narration that I was unfair in my original comment (and people would stick to the earlier one anyway).

We were one of the first groups to include comms in our videos. In the next (main) VidBR video, we have a third party on our teamspeak relaying instructions (none of which get followed) to a fourth party. That process is central to the story of that fight so that video will have probably the most comms of any of our videos so far, and some parts will even have the footage in realtime to allow for long unbroken sections.

More importantly, you mention 'lots of stuff left out'. What, exactly? Your blog mentioned this too, and linked to some killmails you got in other incidents that weren't included. But for our part, we can also point to other skirmishes, killmails, and even a whole failed invasion by NATO, for that matter, which aren't in that video either. It's already nearly 40 minutes long, how long do want the video to be? The fact is:

    a) We've killed more of you, than you killed of us (both boards agree on that). Thus:
    b) If we want to maintain a fair 'ratio' of killing in a video, then adding in extra kills for you means we'd also be allowed to add in more kills/victories for us.
    c) But since there are more of the latter than the former....
    c) ....the end result would just be a longer video but ultimately, the same.

Between the time of the final battle in CC3 and the video's release, you have an efficiency of less than 3 percent. You also staged a failed invasion with a coalition. None of this was included. I put to you that CC3 is not just fair, but in fact downright generous.

And why not be generous, indeed? I like fighting you guys and you bring the fight. I enjoyed reading about the 40bil Chimera and seeing the BR of that recent fight you linked. I'd prefer to dwell on those things, but if you want to argue about it, I'm happy to do so, since the facts are on my side.

I hadn't thought about the 200% thing. I think the thing that grated on me was that Clarion Call 3 comms felt very artificial. I was under the impression that CC3 was still the latest video, since the blog doesn't mention anything since. Would love to see more videos with unedited comms to give a feel for "actual" battle and if the later vids have it then that is great.

As for rehashing old shit, I don't think anyone cares. Anyone who does is free to look up Two Step's comments on it.

There are probably a couple of vids from 2003/2004 who would like to have a word about that mate.
