    Anyone else noticed the warp -> jump button not working sometimes? As in you warp but no jump.

    Warping with the dock button used to not always dock if you activated modules after clicking it sometimes. Might be that.

    It only attempts to jump/dock you once which sucks for you if you happen to land slightly out of jump/dock range before drifting in range. Also sucks for you if cloaked and didn't land close enough to decloak before the jump/dock command.

    It works if you click it before the enter warp part (ie where your ships gets fast but isn't really underway) or during warp. If you click it while entering warp, you mess up the jump part of the command :ccp:
    You can however re-click once in warp and it will work (at least for me).
    Behavior is consistent like that for me.

    Uh, yeah it kinda goes without saying that you can trust the button to work when traveling and out of danger and trust it to fail when your survival would have depended on it.

    Assuming I never run a PLEX ever and have a 0 rating with all major factions:
    How many FW kills can I make before I have to start worrying about not being able to fly in the enemy faction space once I leave FW? Is it going to be in the 1-100 mark, 100-1000, 1000+, infinite?

    From my understanding its infinite and I just lose corp standings, but I wasn't sure if it changed with the update.

    If you train the diplomacy skill it helps a bunch. I was -8.5 and I trained it to lvl 4 and I'm just -4.2 or something close.

    You gain rank with kills, rank gains give you faction standings boosts with your own faction, which give standings drops with the enemy factions. That said, rank caps after a certain point and you thus stop gaining faction. IIRC with high levels of diplo you can enter (former) enemy space even if you held the highest rank on the other side (Once you exit FW of course.). But I'm not honestly sure, so double check the math before you attempt it.

    I had a nasty wake up this evening. I think I`m on the edge Basically story goes like this.
    - about 3 years ago I'm introduced to Eve Online by a friend; he was in a rather large corp, which I joined as well; went bearing in null. Did awkward and imbecile stuff - imagine flying a Golem 35 jumps from lowsec to null... without getting blown to bits;
    - about 2y 6 months ago I quit, RL, work, etc. Said friend quits around 6 months after me;
    - about the time my friend quit, I came back to the game; same corp, bigger, stronger, etc. Fleets I didn't make it to because of work and study. Bearing ++. Boring ++, excuse my pun.
    - around 1 year ago, after 1 year of bearing in null and flirt with industry/invention and hisec missioning on my alts, I take a rather big turn and apply to a pvp corp with my main; but again, :activity: ; I got flushed at a corp purge destined to purge inactive members, only thing is I was logging in, doing fittings then logging off because :lack_of_time:; did a couple of fleets, had some kills, had some shakes;
    - went back to null; even moar boring. TiDi + large fleets = yuck. Flew an inty, was quite the stuff. Still boring.
    - decided to go back to the pvp corp but got rejected because of too little experience, which is understandable.

    At the moment wanting to just login, pew stuff, logoff whenever possible. I fear of making commitments to the corp/alliance because my job is rather unpredictable and there's a larger chance of not making it into fleets. Problem is I'm a rather sociable player... once I start talking. No BS, I'm kinda like this sometimes

    Have a carrier I'm using for moving ships around, some ships, desire to learn, but more by a practical approach. I'm definitely not retarded and I've been disecting PvP videos for a while now, so no, I don't need a professor. I do expect myself to get exploded a lot, np. Sold all the hi-sec stuff, packed up the corp offices, dusted the ships clean then sold them. I'll use BlackFrog or RedFrog if necessary to haul stuff, depending on what I decide.

    Besides my main, I have an indy/science/JF/Orca alt, a sub-BS focused pvp alt and a combat frigate specialized alt with max probing skills.

    So wat do.

    There doesn't seem to be a question in there that I can find.

    If you don't want to do the null sec renter thing, and live the life of PvP you have to start small, and you should expect to lose your ships but fun and challenging things will happen. Enlist your friend that got you started and do tandem roams. I did the solo/duo thing for a little while, and lost a ton of assets. Apparently, I'm pretty bad at it and I never got the hang of dual boxing either. I mostly just explode in a ball of fail, but eventually if you keep at it, you'll succeed. The elite corps will then see your willingness to succeed, and recruit you, train you in their tactics, etc.

It sounds like you've got the skills and they're a cheap way to build experience as well as a killboard history for if you decide you want to get into a pirate/PvP corp. You're definitely sounding like you want a less-structured corp with a heavy PvP bent, which to me screams 'pirate'.

    I'm sorry for not asking a specific question.

    Thing is I want to PvP plus meet new friends, sounds a bit awkward but Eve got lonlier everyday over the past 2 years, even with 1210419 people in the null region I didn't feel at home (not their fault, it's mostly me, as I was mostly offline). Can't enlist my friend because of an addon he recently got called family + kid, he quit completely

    I was thinking of multiboxing but the only way I could do it is one alt being a link/ammo hauler alt, as I can barely micromanage one account pewing with webs/heat/scram/reps/omgkeepdistance/ohlookstructu...

    I think I'll load up some T1 cruiser hulls and get exploded. Lately's been working ok, unaffiliated is a bit strange, everyone is neutral or flashy red, but the null fleets gave me a buffer so I don't go under 1:1 efficiency What's actually funny is that most people think it's a trap - I love to fly T2 ships so the fight lasts enough so I can wrap my mind around what happened - so people don't really jump in when they see a HAC/CS. Had some T1 BC friendly brawls though on one of my alts and it was awesome but also had the impression of helplessness when passive fit, it's a DPS race where the trained skills matter a lot and if you miss-manage a module it's all p00f.

    Next step: must train blasters.

    Thank you for the input, much appreciated.

    LE: @Ophichius - trained skills - some; shooting people + surviving = not so good. Frigates are a lot of fun, I have to agree, love the AFs for their staying power and the 'ceptors for their nimble way of waving good bye at 7.8km/s - I got away from a camping Vaga on a bubbled gate in null in half shields in an armor fit Malediction, shakes were awesome, but they need skill+++ to actually kill anything - I drooled at Interception II. You do make some interesting points though, thank you.

    Considering that I'm something of a frigate retard and my current FNC has already ploughed through a sabre, and oracle, and an FNC in separate fights (And almost got a Redeemer, but he got his neuts sorted and warped off.) I'd say it's more about persistence and knowing what you can and can't engage in a general sense. Plus practice. (To be fair, Oracle engaged on me, Redeemer also engaged on me. I don't normally go hunting Blops in faction frigs.)

    T1 Cruisers run into the problem that they're just big enough and heavy enough to be caught by gangs and such. Frigates almost always can dictate the terms of an engagement vs anything but another frigate.

    Shoot ship with dread, (dock and change ship or reship at POS), target dies, you get on the KM with dreads gun and your new ship.
