It never seemed like a very resource intensive game, it'll probably run.

I'd test it first, there is a demo.

Yeah should run alright on that, you may notice some slow down in the bigger fights with shit blowing up all over the place. I would also recommend that you avoid the mods that add the shit like quad mount turrets & unlock the extra hangar slots. Ive got a pretty good machine & still notice a little slow down & chop with all that shennanigans.

Thank you so much Spasm. At first I was a little tickled at a good game but now... I had no idea what a great game this would be.

If you liked that you may also like Starfarer, more tactical/difficult but also fun.

BigFightForBeef mod is unbalanced and you can become massively overpowered.

Get Missiles maxed. Find all Blueprints for Triple Rack or Barrage Turret. Fill all slots with Torpedos (sic). Try this on a Crawler ship... And add a Large Missile Booster for the lulz.

...enable Automatic Turrets and watch the explosions.

All my previous playthroughs I've done with overload emitters just long enough to get the particle cannons, this time I stuck out the beams and now have a Mammoth with fusion beams, leech emitters, ion emitters, and deployable battlestations.

    Things die fast.

What you really really want to try is a Hammerhead with 2 triple turrets standard lasers (the huge ones) and then fill the rest with Beam Boosters through the roof.

2 Huge Turrets with a beam range of approximately 1,5 screens. Who needs more beams when you have 2 beams like the finger of god?

If you find that you don't have any problems removing zombies from your ship with only 2 turrets, then fair enough. I suppose the trick is not to let them get anywhere near you?

Point defense lasers do a decent job once you get them to level 5 or so.

I've always found the best way it to stick near your other ships & they will do a good job getting them off.

I used leech emitters and fusion beams on a manta, created a deathzone nothing could live through.

I don't have manta unlocked yet, but leech emitter/fusion beam combo on the hammerhead is nuts. Everything is converted to turrets in order of size, fusion>leech>overload, then 2x huge beam boosters. I back that up with a right hook and 2x colts, also similarly fitted with fusion beams and beam boosters. Tore through the final boss in about 20 seconds.

Is this worth another playthrough? I tossed it on my laptop again for my trip to the states.
