As CCP changed the buddy program so that you get a plex when the alt invited uses a plex you can create unlimited "paid" accounts with it. And as each paid account gets 6x quaffe zero till 31. of may.....

also: the 'active subscription' graph for this QEN will be useless as well as all the metrics that come with it... e.g. global money supply (and everything having to do with inflation), populated regions/sec-types

Yeah as mentioned in an earlier dev blog you can now choose if you want your reward for buddy invites as a 30d plex or 30d extension in your sub. So invite alt -> alt uses plex -> main gets a plex in redeem items -> repeat

if you have alot of cash IRL, and REALLY find the boost from Quafe Zero to be worth 15 dollars, then sure, go for it. My suspicion is that CCP will close this loophole.

Still haven't redeemed my Quafe Zero, & cba to go through the motions of making even a throw away account. Fair play to those who take full advantage of this obvious (now it's been pointed out) loophole, though.

Your investment might be 1x plex but you always get it back so you only lose isk.if you sell that plex for less isk than you paid for it in the first place. Easily made up by profit from quake zero sales. If you can be bothered.

I cba either, but I think there will be a massive spike of new accounts in the next few weeks, followed by a rapid fall of new accounts when their times run out. There will be a real bloat of quafe zero on the eve market for a while until it gets used up (main bonus to speed and sig tankers). I wonder if CCP is trying to cook the numbers a bit in order to get a new round of funding?

The point is that only a dozen peeps doing this completely destroys the active account metrics. Eve could easily jump 100k "active" subscribers in the next fortnight, or if they keep it this way any time there is a redeemable item. A totally fake bubble.

They always do either Steam promotions or now this before releases to bolster account numbers. At least I doubt they get many new players that way.
