[What to do] PI - Processor-only planets

Hi,
first I'd like to apologize in advance if what I am about to ask is dumb and irritating, but being unable these days to log and and check it myself I cant seems to find an optimal solution to this situation:
I am going to set up a small PI in my home system. Looking at available planets I decided to go for Robotics - there are 2 Lava and at least 2 Gas planets.

So here comes the problem - what is the most optimal way doing this P3 production.

Should I try to reach the most top tear PI product at each single planet?

Or should I focus on making the lowest Processed materials on each planet - e.g. :
- Precious Metals from Gas_1
- Reactive Metals from Gas_2
- Toxic Metals from Lava_1
- Chiral Structures from Lava_2
and THEN loading all that stuff on a fifth planet for advanced production only?

I lean towards p1 on each planet then manufacture robotics on the fifth planet.

Depends on how many planets you care to run. If five is fine by you, do P1 extraction on each planet then a fifth assembly planet. If you'd rather three planets, I think you can do Precious Metals and Reactive Metals on a Gas, Toxic Metals and Chiral Structures on a Lava, and a third assembly planet, but you'll obviously lose a lot of end product.

The method Sponk recommends will give you the most P3 output and probably be the easiest to build, maintain and know where to transfer outputs to.
