MLP MEGATHREAD: Austerity means only half as many episodes

Yea somber is pretty good. He's no kkat but he is good. If he would spend more energy on planning and organizing his story he would be more successful. A lot of his story feels unorganized and rushed.

On a side note I picked up antipodes. Short chapters make me sad.

I am not nearly as emotionally invested in blackjack and co as i was in littlepip and co. 90% of writing is getting the reader involved.

Also if you read his comment threads you'll see that he is inserting himself to an extent in several characters. While it is hard to avoid, it kinda makes it feel like I'm reading a transcript of therapy sessions. That's kinda why I stopped reading the comments.

Also, having multiple factions and twists only adds to a story to a point, after that point It's jumping the shark... Which he came very close to doing by blowing up blackjack all the time. It's something authors of long works get trapped in. They constantly try to one up themselves from chapter to chapter and at some point you have to resort to David hasselhoff wrestling a shark.
