I remain convinced that FiM takes place on a post-human Earth. Why else would Fluttershy say "French couture", ponies wear clothes and use tools with handles WHEN THEY HAVE NO FREAKING HANDS FOR THE HANDLES.
Edit: Also a few observations for the past season:
1. I think Ponyville Confidential was aimed not so much at Rupert Murdoch, but at young girls being so completely absorbed in such trash as Teen, Teen Beat, Cosmopolitan, etc. Hopefully, viewers of the episode will equate voyeuristic "journalism" as pointless.
2. Is a unicorn's magic color tied to their eye color? DOES THIS HAVE DRAMATIC IMPLICATIONS!?
3. When Twilight's ears twitched as Cadance acted out the ladybugs sequence, I thought that was a very nice touch.
4. There was a persistent rumor that Weird Al was going to provide a voice in an episode.
5. WHERE ARE THE GADDAMN SEASON BOX SETS?

In season two they redid all of the magical auras to be the same as the primary color of the character's cutie mark. Of others, Twilight's became more magenta, and Celestia's became yellow.
Australia is the only region that is getting a DVD season set yet. They maxed out their preorder I believe.

Indeed. As it stands Shout Factory (the holder of the US distribution rights) is really nervous about doing a season box set. Basically they're not convinced it would sell well enough for them to profit from it, a fear amplified by retailers who are putting fewer and fewer season box sets on their shelves.

Yah, ShoutFactory actually wanted to make a retail season box, but they couldn't get enough commitments from retailers to warrant production. I wonder if things changed in the year since then.Indeed. Oh well, having everything on Netflix is nice in the mean time. At this point I think it's inevitable that we will see a series box set eventually.
