IMO you could make the perfect show by fusing MLPs animation and voice with an "Avatar-ish" story. Maybe the next generation if Hasbro doesn't go full retard.

This was actually more what Lauren Faust wanted to do. She originally had a greater focus on story arcs and adventure plots, but Hasbro wanted something they could air out of order.

Keep in mind that S2 actually had a lot more adventure eps than S1 (Unfortunately it lacked any sort of overall arc or story thread though, unlike the Gala thread that permeated the first season. But you win some, you lose some) so they do appear to be responding to fans. Also keep in mind that most of S1 was produced before bronies took off as a phenomenon, and thus they didn't really know or expect us to be popping up everywhere.
I do wish that Luna and Zecora were more prominent in the show, as planned. It would really change the dynamics of it.

This is why it's nice that the fanbase and the producers have developed such a rare interactive relationship. Remember that we have about a 1 year lag-time between when ideas are made and when we see them on screen. I have decent hopes for season 3.
You mustn't forget (and I don't really think anyone would want or expect that) that they must keep the show suitable for its default target audience. AKA 6yo girls

I haven't actually been on Derpibooru in months (life has been really, really busy, and i didn't have time to upload massive amounts of pony like i said i would), but it's content seemed to be way better than what ponibooru had. Now when the community's going to move over there... meh.

e621.net Don't go there. It's an explicit furry porn site.
However, it currently has about 16000 pony pictures, and only about half of them are porn. Since it has a more or less unique community, some artists that post mostly on FA and there, and some artists who, instead of drawing safe stuff and sometimes porn, draw mostly porn and some safe stuff. So those artists aren't usually browsed by people who are interested in safe stuff, and i can often find pictueres that are exclusive to the site, or are never featured on EQD, and other, more traditional, pony picture sources.
Or, they are simply posted first on e621 before they're featured anywhere else. Nothing faster on the internet than the speed of porn! (Even if it's not porn.) Like that LunaScoot gif. Example:
Since e6 doesn't allow image macros, all those 16k pictures are actual art, instead of junk. Just browse the site looking only for pics tagged with "safe", and you can find lots of interesting stuff.

Interesting, just took a look at e6. I cannot second the 'browse safe tags' thing enough.
That said, safe tags does turn up some pretty neat art.
Edit: Safe tag works for variable definitions of 'safe'. You may still want to keep some eye bleach on hand. You have been warned.

My 5 yo girl loves the adventure episodes and arcs, and the action-oriented interpersonal stuff like Fair Weather Friends or Mare Do Well. She finds the most behaviour-oriented ones, like "Tardy Twilight goes insane" or "Spike gets jealous and runs away" or most of the Cutie Mark Crusader episodes tedious (the latter) or appallingly unlikeable (the former).
I always wondered what e621 was, looking at GIS results. I'm glad I found out from you guys instead of the hard way.
