Null statics are only paired with a c5 or c6 static. C3 statics pair with high or occasionally low. AFAIK, you're right about them being full though.

nope. Used to live in a c2 with a c5 and a null static. Null statics are the shit yo
That's exactly what I just said. I too used to live in a C2 with a C5/Null static.

Along the same topic, anyone got a suggestion for stats/fit for a Drake to pop into a C3 with? What to expect? I've run in a c2 for a bit but that was some time ago and was using a cane with several people to run sites.. now I got an alt trained up for a properly fit drake and am interested in running back in to make some iskies but not sure what to expect in a c3 static

Confirming tengu, but if you really can't, shoot for 800 dps omni tank with NO capacitor usage, 100% passive. Drake have been changed since I last played so I won't post a fit.

Got a Tengu, wanted to use HAMs instead of HMLs. The orbit range of some of the sleepers is worrying me though.

I did it years ago. Back when sleepers neuts didn't actually nuet you at all. I rolled a 1k tank and that was easily enough closest the got was in holes that reduced my resists or speed or something like that.

Rolled HMLs and threw something like 450-500 DPS iirc.
Soloing was a piece of piss, it was a bit over the top but I needed something to blow my isk on so meh. Plus a corp mate was building tengus and sub systems at the time so I got that cheap

Your posting is medium, its not rare and its not well done

We(back in the day, pre sleeper neut change) managed with armour pulse Legions, you probably can with modern HAMs Tengu/whatever. Though there's few BS, mostly cruisers/frigs. But you can paint & web too.
Where can I find more about these neut changes? I used to solo C3s in a legion, can't remember exact fit though. Is this still possible?

It's still possible, just requires a bit more cap management skills.

I've been looking into it over the past few days, doesn't look as bad as I thought. I had a rather pimped fit to begin with, but looks like I miiiiight need to bring cap boosters into the mix. Haven't really made a new fit or looked into it too much yet.

IIRC you want 60% cap stability if within C3 neut range. I always flew my legion with a 'spare' mid used for an emergency cap injector, as I was acutely aware most initial/solo tackle ships would not break your tank as long as you weren't neuted, and it could be enough to keep you ABing+webbing for freedom/shooting, or to give corpmates time to assemble some revenge. Never did get jumped though.

I think this is the post dan eel was referring to.

Maybe I have a warped perspective(c6 dweller), but I mentally group c1-c3 whs as "loleasymode" for newer pilots.

I can't imagine you having much difficulty with em tbh.

When it comes to wormholes who counts as a newer pilot?

You mean, what qualifies one as such? Or how can you be of value while new?

Because understanding the mechanics & meta would elevate you from being new, also attitude towards committing shiny stuff/brawling & what's "expensive"/worth risking to opportunities.
SP-wise I'd say someone without CovOps5+torps/Recon4/several Cruiser5 + HACs4 + sets of T2 medium weapons/a T3 with all subsystems to 5/Logi5. Not hard to train but very potent when used right. Have several of those and you can be vital in most activities. Yeah CS/(pirate)BS/Marauders/HICs/capitals are nice but a bit niche & far beyond newer player level.

So it sounds like 30 million SPs is roughly needed to not be a complete waste of space in a wormhole then?

30 million combat focussed SPs that is.

You can combine a lot of those roles on just the Loki. A properly skilled alt at 10m sp can be very efficient.
