You know, that is the tamest one of those comparison's I've seen. Only major changes are +1 cup size, her hand and the sock, and really only the cup size is the "bad" change.

I wouldn't be surprised if the "before" picture is more heavily doctored than the after. That's a professional photographer that really needs to be fired otherwise, it takes some real poor talent to manage to sap everything of color like that.

Color rendition can be tricky to get right when shooting with digital. Getting the color to come out right is simple, get the right white balance depending on the light sources. However doing it in post production is simpler yet and for such a shoot, I would actually prefer getting the color I want in post rather than on set. You have to take into account that print can deliver different colors than a calibrated screen etc. The other things are rather tame compared to other examples I have seen as well. If you really expect undoctered pictures you need a reality check.
