Lets reframe it. We all accept the moral/environmental case for vegetarianism/veganism. But meat tastes amazing. And more to the point we have also MET actual vegans and vegetarians. And fuck that noise.
Using animals for nature conservation for example maintaining heathland and calcareous grasslands requires an artisan meat trade to sustain
Poland treats me like shit and I hate them as a result of it
Also, I don't get this whole meat simulation thing... just eat a bean burger or other proper veggie food? I don't understand veggies with a fake meat obsession... just eat fucking meat or cook one of the many delicious proper veggie meals, don't half arse it.
Bean burgers can actually be damn tasty, so i agree. No need to do fake meat....just eat tasty non-meats.
If you can make stuff that actually does taste like meat then you can obviously reduce the need to farm livestock etc.
Not sure on the comparable costs here though... seems like cows are pretty well evolved to be meat generation devices. How easy is it to get haem from plants? That seems the be the key ingredient here to get fake meat to taste bloody.
We all know how cost drives everything, even if it flies in the face of the 'right thing to do'.
Anyway, my point about fake meat is that there are so many delicious vegetarian foods around, why do you need fake meat? There are tons of great things to eat that don't require meat.
Why do you eat meat? is it because you enjoy the taste or because you like the fact that something died? I'm guessing its the former not the latter point. If there are other tasty things around.. why do you continue to eat meat?

My point though, is that if you want to cut down on your meat consumption, why would you eat fake meat.
Also I eat completely veggie 3-4 days a week anyway.

Is this a real question?
Presumably you drink Soylent for every meal and do literally the same routine every day. You own 10 identical pairs of clothes. If it works why would you need anything else?
