Holy shit. It's done. Only took almost 200 hours.
Now to get the B variant and actually win with them...

Rock B. Found the pod. Got Burst III, Burst II, two Ion bombs and a Breach Bomb II. Got a fucking preigniter. Had 3 engi/zoltan sectors. No lab. And then Rock Homeworlds.

I haven't played in a long time as well, got back into it after seeing some nice stream from SA. Still trying to get crystal ships without a save file, it's not going too well. :-P I even went...

Had another interesting run with Rock B. If the ship had airlocks, I'd have vented it more than once.

All in all I'm happy I didn't use the save file to unlock crystals. Gives me reason to still play even if I won with every other ship :)

Yeah I have skele totem and it helps a lot. Still fucking turbocharged monkeys ruin my day sometimes.

I need some better ES/Evasion gear... Although pretty much the only problematic mobs are those with puncture (and sometimes flicker strikers) they are a fucking nightmare if encountered in maps....

I enjoyed DA:O quite a bit. Finished it with a human and a dwarf I think. It suffered from very poor encounter variety and the story was quite generic, but still an enjoyable experience. Shale <3

Weapons are, in order: 3x ion, 3x laser, 3x missile, a beam.
If you kill everyone an AI takes over and will slowly repair all systems, so do this only if you have good enough weapons to dps it down...

Also non-damaged drone system with a repair drone sitting there.
