Just unlocked the Kestrel Type B - I'll be honest, I used an asteroid field to get myself down to 1 hull HP but even that was touch and go and took me a few attempts.

So on another play through with the Kestrel. Zoltarn border police rip my crew to shreds, one guy left to put out all the fires and repair the ship up. Next jump I get a Mantis crew member, great...

Not just NC, I'm VS and two knife hits is enough to take down anyone who's not in a max suit. I find it it's the best way to take down engi's repairing stuff.

My first 20 mins was bad too - it does get better, I've had some great fights out of it.

How do I man AA? Whenever I go up to them I don't get an option to enter, have I got to buy the access from somewhere?

Latest fun thing to do is get a scythe as light assault and storm across the map to capture a one or two hex region by hitting the vertical limit [1000m] and jumping out :D
