We seem to get alot of UK celebrities in this thread who either require a specific fandom of a show or film, or are of more general UK knowledge but are likely unknown in the U.S. generally.

Fair point.

But also in fairness, the rest of the world does tend to consume our films, tv shows and sports quite a bit too. And lord knows you all obsess over our politics.

So no wonder you all hear about our dead famous people.

We seem to consume far less foreign media or sports (futball perhaps being one exception, UK films another) and borderline nothing about most of your politics beyond whomever your main dude or lady is.

More observation than anything else. If we're posting them in here, they must be someone we think many will know and want to make note of their passing.
