There is a documentary about snipers, where a Sniper with a Barret and a .50 Tungsten Tipped round took out a shooter from behind cover. The cover being a blown out Cinderblock wall. He estimated position of the target, and BOOM.. splash of blood was an indicator. Good shot Id think.. don't remember how far... but either way it was like the 'top 10 snipers' such and such.

M1 tank crews in Iraq found that using 120mm HEAT-MP instead of the .50 BMG with API ammo reduced collateral damage (at least in the sense of lost life; property damage is still higher with 120mm obviously). Did he load it wrong? I forget if you load a ghost round instead of lifting the dongle bit and locking the rounds in place. Which would explain why he had issues closing the lid.
