Greensville SC, Central Park Ca., Fairmount Pa., etc etc. There have been plenty of females who have been assaulted and raped along jogging paths across the country. Robberies of male joggers is also there. Many of those fanny packs you see on Americans now have handgun pouches. The rest are faggots or old people. I mean who wears a fanny pack that isn't packing heat these days? :DQuote:

HOUSTON – A kindergartener who brought a loaded gun Tuesday to his Houston elementary school was among three students injured by fragments when it fired after falling from his pocket as he sat down for lunch, officials said.
One bullet was fired about 10:35 a.m. in the Ross Elementary School cafeteria, spraying fragments at the students, said Houston Independent School District Assistant Police Chief Robert Mock.

More than likely it wasn't even a hand gun from home, it may have been handed to him on the bus, on the street, etc...cover up a crime, hnd the gun to a kid..;)...Regardless, yes, there is someone responsible, but the CHILD himself knows better...it's too prevelantin this day and time for a child, NOT to kow what a gun isand does, real or not...
yeah, america is a a shit holeQuote:

For it to be reasonable to NEED to carry a firearm whilst out and about in order to feel safe, either your crime levels must be vastly higher than they are anywhere in the UK or your sense of proportion and risk has to be way, way off.
(Insert here standard provisos about assuming you don't live in the worst part of the ghetto or the deepest backwoods, aren't a cop kicking in drug dealers' doors etc etc)
There is no need to carry, only a desire to help deter and stop violent crime.
Some people like to have a gun on them "just in case." Seems simple to me. You don't need to label gun carriers paranoid or irrational.
Who said they NEED the gun in order to feel safe?
Also google-fu reveals the UK to be right up there with USA in assaults per capita.
Think this is the second or third time thread has been de-railed by OMG GUNS LOL USA
<-- doesn't live in the US or own a gun
I think this fits nicely in here.
no it doesn't
For the idiots trying to derail the thread, I don't care what your concerns or beliefs are about gun ownership, go bleed your vagina somewhere else. This isn't a debate thread.
Picked up my first AR in June, I'm very fond of shooting it. I didn't have any plans of buying one that day but it happened, this is the picture I took while I was checking out. I added a Leatherwood CMR 1-4x optic to it, and I'm considering changing out the handguard and also adding a pair of Troy BUIS but I'm afraid the front gas block sight is going to look goofy. Great thing about the AR-15, it's like Barbie for guys!

Why not just get a quad-rail forend and have integrated rails?Quote:

You have to own a shotgun for 5 years without shooting anyone with it.
And for that you have to get a gun safe, a bunch of papers and pay around 300 bux.
CBA.

It's meant to be used with optics which is why the gas block rail is a bit of an odd feature. A part of me wants to toss a pair of BUIS but the other part feels a little funky about the idea.
The only improvements I want to make to the current upper is adding quad rails, adding a bigger charging handle and possibly BUIS, otherwise I'd rather build a whole new upper and swap them in and out accordingly. Other than those changes I'm pretty happy with it, it shoots accurately and cycles reliably.
