Older Pmags had really raised areas and it was really noticeable. No need for grip tape even with wet bare hands. The gen 3's are not as pronounced but you can still notice the difference.
Grip tape for texture doesn't really sound all that great unless you're running since mag pouches. If you have a standard double mag shingle type then those thing are going to rub and grind as you maneuver and as you remove them from the pouch. Any sort of elastic binding wither exposed or covered in cloth is going to drag and was why the bock faces were recessed less and the corners more rounded.
Try doing the hold solder gun treatment. Guys have been doing this with their Glocks for years now. The texture stays within the recessed part so it won't make contact with other mags textures. When removing a mag from the pouch, only the outer skeleton should be dragging on the cloth. There might be some catching but not nearly as much as tape which is substantially raised.
The only downside is that texturing your mags is a bit more labor intensive.

Put grip tape on one of my carry guns, never again.
Grip tape up your gear if you like holes in your clothing and overly-abraided hands.

I know.. I know.. I need practice.
tbh my ak shoots about 4 moa too. good for its intended purpose, but dont expect them to be tack drivers
Yo, remember how he was aiming with iron sights?
Yeah, me neither.
In non-shit gun news, I managed to find some good 95g rounds for my .243. I'm quite exited, sighted it in yesterday with the new rounds and will be out hunting deer in less than 24 hours :D
It's actually not that bad he has decent grouping for 91 meters. He just doesn't seem to have a consistent sight picture unless he tweaked his sights between the first target and the second target. A little more practice and he's on the money. If I recall up and down variables is breathing, left right variables is trigger pull. He's mostly in the same place so learning to suck a little less and things will come together though my zeroing experience is at a significantly shorter distance than 100 meters so I don't really know what the bullet spread should be to be considered appropriate but it seems rather large to me so Mr. AndersonW check to see if you have bad habits.
