That's correct, although a lot of guys have modded theirs along the same lines. I've only had one opportunity to play with that lightening bolt and it's NIIIIICE. No more having to go under or over to charge the rifle.

M4-type telescopic stock is a half-measure that was later creamed over by cryingeagle faggots as the pinnacle of engineering.
Solution to retarded AR15 action spring placement was indeed expensive but worthwile and LR300, if not popular, is still in production. 2k bux is not such a high price if you plan on hoarding 9001 expensive accessories for it.

Bottom line - if you want quality and reliability get a fucking SIG or HK. Rugged action and cheapness - AK.

A reliable folder requires and inch worth of metal to form the folding action. It's extra bulk for the ability to fold. You could go thinner but you loose out on reliability which not even the Russians nor Germans are willing to do. It also adds more complexity to a simple item and is why it's so rare to see both at the same time other than a "Bubba" gun.
