is it me, or does the Textron one look kind-of like he MX from Arma 3?

NGSW reminds me of interbellum LMGs.
because $/performance the M4 is now pretty efficient its all just polish now. No other 5.56 carbine offers the same performance to cost that the M4 does so at best you'd be increasing costs dramatically for little more than weight reduction.
The US military will not change their primary small arms until such a time as there is a radical change in ammunition or design and a good way to do this is via small deployment weapons such as machine guns. Perfect caseless ammunition or polymer ammo that only affects 1 man in 10 until its good enough to give to the other 9.

It's in a great condition, all matching numbers. Grabbed some ammo as well and can't wait for the ranges to open again.

isn't it supposed to have the rollercoaster ? or is there and it's just lighting ?
Rollercoasters are not on Argentine mausers (either 1891 or 1909). I think only Peruvian ones have them
It's a can of worms

This. Argentinian Mauser's got the cheaper and simpler sights. Zero setting is at 300m lol.
It's sort of new and hasn't been used much yet. I do intend to bike to school for the remainder of the school year though.
Also do you never wash your bike?
300m zero is standard for issue rifles of that period. Ive never had the pleasure of shooting a rollercoaster mauser but the general consensus seems to be the standard spring leaf v notch on mausers is a better, less obstructive sight.
Don't wash your bike unless you get a hard on from lubing everything again. Clean it, sure. Wash it only when you want to sell it. Same goes for firearms.
edit: and for the love of god, don't think that spraying it with wd40 after washing counts as maintenance.
Put about 250 rounds through it this afternoon, no longer looks this pretty.

250 sounds ridiculous for one day. How long does the barrel last?
