T2 opens up a fuckload of tactics.
And yes, there is a directional indicator.

Furthermore i came to a conclusion that jericho implant line is the best and so are their frigates so you should level jericho first (to 6 or 9, depending on your patience) and then do whatever else you want.

For what they do the two long-range frigates have ENTIRELY too much fucking HP.

It'd be great if they were glass cannons, totally makes sense they sit back and blap, but you sneak up and basically massacre them.

Noice, although imo they also need to nerf repair costs. I can spend like 30-40% of my gold earned on repairs in T3, even if i win.

Shipyard defense also really needed some fix, dreadnaught is winnable shipyard the farthest ive gotten was wave 4/4 then the boss would inevtiably rape you.

it's still fun but they cannot be played as they really are meant to. warp gate + vanguard drones + mine fields + cluster bombs = decent beacon capper

the interceptor would be ok but it doesn't do enough damage to anyone but other fed ships to make a difference, and speed tanking is still broken because you can't dodge torps all day.

The one thing that ive noticed for federation ships btw for those who dont like them: their role bonuses are so much better than empire, especially at the lower tiers. Id take +100% range over -20% energy consumption any day :>

But I do like strong heavy brawlers tho. So what would you suggest I chose for that? I've been flying the federation T1 frig mainly, but everyone keeps saying fed sucks so I'm thninking I should probably switch to something else?

Got only 1 purple and 3 greens in 200 games... droprate is below insignificant.
Could live with it if it were for long time motivation but i think many ppl will cry for higher droprates.

You can get green mods from scenarios as a guaranteed drop (purples drop rarely), and they're way, way easier since the patch. A bunch of us face rolled them in <7 minutes per session some 8-10 times, getting the normal cash and the fancy mod on top. Only catch is it seems to drop only T1(?), so it's really only good for pimp fitting to wreck T1 or getting new players fancy stuff off the bat.

EDIT: Should note that we accidentally used T2 ships and it didn't seem to get harder or drop T2 mods, so it's not that regarding T1 only.

Fit a Collision Compensator as a Passive Module - can't go wrong with 15%/19%/25% turning speed. I've taken to sticking the Mk III version on everything >.>

Also, will have another run to see if we can find reliable >T1 colory drops.

I did two scenarios yesterday with all T2 ships, and got T2 green drops, so eh dunno what the issue is. One was even a green shield transfer which is awesome since i run it on my T2 empire inty. MWD in - grab shield - cruise missile - damage booster - short range plasma with kinetic ammo. If the enemy commander is in a fighter or frig, i can rape him with that solo >80% of the time. Ofc, smart commanders will be in intys and i cant hold those down to track them :(

Will probably get T3 empire inty next, and this time im going with pulse lasers.

I actually really like my empire fighters as brawlers too, since theyve got overcharge for instant dps boost. Cant tank as well as Jericho fighters though.

Just starting playing - choose a fed char and it's pretty fun! But i went to sign contracts with Jerichos to get the Zealots for missile fun, god those rape at low levels when they don't know how to evade or spin/twist/barrel roll behind a rock. Not that i'm very good, i am still crap at flying, but not as bad as most.

The raptor M is what I've flown the most so far (yea I started yesterday) and the drones are realy nice.
They take down incoming missiles on the M version.
Basicly, if there's an enemy within 1500m, they will dump some 400dps into it, ontop of what your turrets are doing.
The ship is a bit slow and bulky, but the small things all seem to want to come up close anyway so it's usualy not a problem to get in range.

You can shoot down the drones in case you missed it. Really horrible if you get hit by the sniper missile.

I normally also shoot them down with the inties, they give points and make orbiting so much easier.


And for PVE: Bring 1 jericho frig, they just one shot the inty and figher swarms, makes it so much faster.

Well it's not like you're limited to only two.
I always deploy my drones right away. That way I can instantly redeploy 2 new if they get popped.
and if people are shooting the drones they are not shooting me. :)

I am realy starting to like the cloaking device on the fed fighter aswell.
Find target. sneak up. decloak. say hello.
I've got 95% resists to EM on that thing. Too bad they all kill me with missiles instead :)

First tech two frigate max tank fit brawls and can melt people. Fighter can as well

The drawback for frigs in pve is that you will have a harder time dodging around structures. In the final stages you will often get overwhelmed by elites or have a boss to kill, so its important to be able to get out of line of sight.

However, if you play smart and hover around structure edges, its not really a problem with frigs either. So yeah, id mass frigs or maybe frigs and one fighter for the command module buffs. Also empire frig sucks in pve since the snipermodule is worthless, youll deal more damage just using your main weapon. Jericho/Fed are fine, but it takes two Jericho frigs to oneshot a non-elite wave. So if i had to choose, id take 2 Jericho frigs 1 Federation frig 1 Jericho/Fed fighter with +command bonus.


Re anyone whos asking for invites to [FHC], you need to catch someone who has officer roles, and add them to your friendslist ingame. Then he can send you a corp invite. Very little sense in asking for inv here and expecting anything to happen on its own.

e: dont mean to sound rude, i just dont know whos got officer role and you need to give your exact ingame name.

You can shoot down the drones in case you missed it. Really horrible if you get hit by the sniper missile.

I normally also shoot them down with the inties, they give points and make orbiting so much easier.


And for PVE: Bring 1 jericho frig, they just one shot the inty and figher swarms, makes it so much faster.

Well it's not like you're limited to only two.
I always deploy my drones right away. That way I can instantly redeploy 2 new if they get popped.
and if people are shooting the drones they are not shooting me. :)

I am realy starting to like the cloaking device on the fed fighter aswell.
Find target. sneak up. decloak. say hello.

With the contract stuff, If you only like one faction you run for only one, but with blue NPC items being available from factions, you should switch between them all, sign contracts, but still use your best ships - doesn't have to be the faction's own ship. It's kinda annoying, but you do spent less creds ( but more time obv - but T1 battles are fun as fuck) when you get all of the rank 3 and under stuff up before heading into rank 4.

i'm just incredulous is all. i get 458 in superkite with a mk 2 and no implant, just astonished that hawk m with 8% more speed mod is 70 m/s faster.

I like the Empire Ceptor for the map mobility, especially in detonation or capture and hold. Plant an EMP bomb, use MWD to get back to the bomb spawn point in detonation; and using the MWD to quickly respond to bases that need help in capture and hold. Learning when to cancel the warp so you land on target is really key.

I really want to get my other factions up though, but I'm just trying to get to T3 as quick as possible for the extra gains.

I'm pretty sure there is a typo in the shield boosters. I think instead of it being x shields every 1 second for 8s they meant x shields over 8s.

This makes them equivalent in power to the armor repairers (but not as good since they take so fucking long to actually do anything) and lines up better with the fact that I've never seen a shield booster actually give me like 8k shields.

I might have missread and I'm away from my computer and here at work but I thought the t2 booster hit for 2200 or so shields over 8 sec? I know that with whatever ships I use shields on (and resists for shields) it gives me roughly 2x my whole shield base. Worked out great for me? My ...uhh...Harpy? the specalized harpy? So far I've been using plasma and just blap away in the general direction of the target. But the more evasive manouvers I make the harder it becomes for me to hit my target aswell :)

Machete-S with armor resist, shield resist actives
Deimos-2 with valkyrie, target painter actives

Another stupid idea is, 3 frigs with warpgate, coordinate who ususes when, either blap control point or blap enemy commander.

Entity and I (+ others earlier) were rocking it yesterday evening. Good good fun!. Got now a t3 inty and t3 frigate, barely equiped atm but I've got succes with it already.. can't wait until I get the upgrades of them.

Do have to say that missiles get easily shot down in t3 :( So no no for my torpedos on my frigate.
I actually flew with and against you guys yesterday evening. Entity was the only good pilot you had.
